Episode 17
Erina raised her eyelids at the loud conversation ringing in her ears.
Who the hell is making such noise…
Huh?
Wait, the only person in this house who can talk is Dylan. So conversation?
Erina opened her eyes with a start and got up from her seat.
Then the sight that unfolded before her eyes was…
“No!”
“Resen, Lia!”
“No!”
Dylan confronting two little kids.
The boy with straight blue hair was shaking his head, and the girl with curly red hair was swinging Dylan’s arm.1I was right!!
“Uh…?”
A confusion induced question burst out of Erina’s mouth at the children who appeared out of nowhere.
The two little children heard the sound clearly and ran towards Erina.
The sight of them both running towards her, their short arms and legs flailing, completely naked… somehow felt familiar.
While Erina looked at the children running towards her with a bewildered face, Dylan also touched his throbbing head with his index finger.

Before morning came, not long after Resen had safely molted.
“Lia, it hurts!”2She said her own name, it isn’t a typo
In Erina’s arms, a girl with red hair whined.
Dylan once again looked surprised and lifted Lia up just as he had done to Resen.
Lia resembled her mother, with red curly hair that fell down to her waist, as her emerald eyes looked at Erina.
“I want Erina!”
Lia screamed angrily.
Dylan brought his index finger to Lia’s lips.
“Shh, it’s dawn now.”
“I don’t care! Put me down!”
Lia cried and struggled to get away from Dylan.
Because of that, Lia’s long hair was slapping Dylan’s forearm.
It didn’t hurt, but It felt a little weird.
Dylan’s expression, which had been indifferent to his niblings’ arrogant words and hair attacks, began to crack.
It was a positive thing that the two of them had finished shedding their scales, but it was unfortunate that they started talking at the same time.
Now that they could use human language, how more noisy would it be?
“Let go, you idiot!”
“You idiot!”
Following Lia’s words, Resen patted Dylan’s calf.
“These little…”
Dylan, who has no patience at all, ended up taking his nephew and niece out.
Still, with a modicum of conscience, he wrapped his niblings in a blanket. It was the greatest favor he could do.
The problem was that Resen and Lia didn’t feel that way.
After a while, the three people, no, the three dragons arrived at the empty lot and from then on, they started muttering and complaining.
Most of it was Resen and Lia insisting on going to Erina, but Dylan had no intention of sending them nicely anyway.
“So if I send you to Erina, what will you do for her?”
At Dylan’s words, Resen and Lia’s faces crumpled.
It was too childish of him to say that when he was the person who had forcibly brought them away from Erina.
There was no way that their uncle wouldn’t know what they, two three months old, already knew. He was just being grumpy.
It was bewildering how the young dragons were dragged around by him but couldn’t resist at all.
More than anything, they were annoyed that he kept ignoring them while dragging them away from Erina!
“Don’t be stubborn!”
“You guys should stop being so stubborn. That Human woman has nothing to do with you. Don’t you know where to draw the line? Even though you’re young, you’re so stupid. Don’t go around calling yourselves dragons.”
The baby dragons’ shoulders hunched at Dylan’s cold rebuke.
Their condition was not good because of shedding their skin, and they were trembling as they faced the murderous intent of an adult dragon.
Dylan felt a brief sense of relief when he saw his niblings like that.
He had been so stressed out from doing things out of his comfort zone, that he felt like he could live a little now.
“First, when you enter the house, stay quiet. Then, when the human woman wakes up, say your final goodbyes and follow me. Got it? If you don’t keep this promise, I might take you straight to the Empire from here. What do you want me to do?”
As he continued to speak, tears began to fall from Resen and Lia’s large eyes.
Dylan frowned as he watched the scene.
“Don’t cry and decide.”
“Uh, we want to go to Erina.”
Resen said, sobbing and Lia nodded beside him.
“Okay, then you’ll do as I say?”
Dylan asked again.
Resen and Lia nodded their heads to indicate that they understood.
Dylan was not happy with the fact that they only nodded in response without answering, but he picked up his two niblings again.
Now that the day had dawned, everything would be resolved.
However.
As soon as they got home, Resen and Lia threw off their blankets and ran towards the bed, as if they had completely forgotten about the promise they had made earlier.
Dylan tried to catch his two niblings while looking at Erina who was still sleeping.
Resen and Lia quickly dodged his hand, shouted at Dylan and ran away.
“No!”
“Resen, Lia!”
“No!”
And that commotion made Erina wake up.
Although the situation was still vague, Erina hugged the two little ones who had run into her arms.
How was he going to explain the kids not even wearing clothes in this cold night?
Resen and Lia, who were in Erina’s arms, began to cry out loud, “Waaah!”
Erina looked at Dylan, her soul completely taken away by the loud crying.
She had an expression that asked for an explanation of what was going on.
Dylan looked at his wayward niblings with an embarrassed look on his face.
“Re, it’s Resen!”
“I’m, Lee, Lia!”
Resen and Lia, held in Erina’s arms, spoke first.
“What…?!”
Erina lowered her head and looked at the children.
Clearly, they were reptiles flapping their wings just a few hours ago, so how did they suddenly become human…?
Erina looked at the place next to her with surprised eyes.
There was only Poi crouching next to her, and Resen and Lia were really not there.
“Resen, Lia?”
As Erina called them softly, the blue-haired and red-haired children began to cry even louder.
And then.
“Dylan is scary!”
“Dylan told us to go and say goodbye to Erina!”
They started telling her everything Dylan had said.
Of course, most of what they said was mixed with sobs and was a mess, to the point where it was hard to understand, but Erina was able to make it all out.
It was because she had become more proficient at reading them during the three months she spent with the dragons, as they had not been able to communicate.
“I, Miss Erina.”
Dylan sweat profusely at his niblings’ spiteful betrayal.
You pretended to be scared in front of me, but it was just an act to tell Erina?
Dylan waited anxiously for Erina’s reply.
He didn’t know why, but whenever she looked at him with those cold eyes, he felt intimidated without realizing it.
If he went somewhere and said something like that, he would be so humiliated that he would be embarrassed to be called a dragon.
“Are you just going to leave the kids like this now?”
“Yes….?”
“These kids were groaning in pain, and you left them like this, naked?”
Erina shouted, wrapping Resen and Lia in a blanket.
Dylan was wronged.
He wrapped them in a blanket and carried them, it was his niblings who unwrapped it and ran out.
Dylan shook his head in denial, then tried to calmly explain what had happened.
“Dylan told us…!”
“Dylan is bad!”
Resen and Lia hid themselves in the blanket, shedding tears. They had clearly thrown off the blankets earlier because they were feeling uncomfortable.
“Haa…!”
Because it was too absurd, he couldn’t even laugh.
Dylan shook his head. He seemed to be of the mind that whatever happens will happen.
“Yeah, Uncle Dylan scared you? But you shouldn’t call him Dylan. He’s your uncle. Okay? Come here, let’s wipe away your tears and wash your face.”
Erina coaxed Resen and Lia, who were now in the form of dragons, no, children.
At her words, Resen and Lia immediately corrected the title, saying quietly, ‘Uncle, uncle…’
“Yeah, good job. You should call him Uncle now instead of his name, alright? Good boys. Our Resen and Lia speak really well.”
Resen and Lia, who felt happy at Erina’s compliments, laughed with tears in their eyes.
Erina washed Resen and Lia’s faces, which were covered in tears and snot, and put her shirt on them.
At her gentle touch, Resen and Lia, who were tired from the commotion at dawn, nodded off.
Only after putting the sleepy children to bed did Erina’s gaze turn to Dylan.
Dylan, who was following Erina restlessly, smiled brightly when his eyes met hers.
Erina glanced at that smile absentmindedly, then began to seriously tease Dylan.
“Mr. Dylan, what happened? Could you explain?”
“That, that.”
“You didn’t explain to me the most important thing. Why didn’t you tell me that dragons can turn into humans when they shed their scales?”
Will I get in trouble if I say I forgot? I wonder if I could get in trouble even more than now.
In fact, he really didn’t think much of it.
It was natural that if you shed your skin, you would transform into a human or be able to talk.
He didn’t feel the need to explain it in detail.
It was no use regretting it now that what was already done was done.
“If you had told me that in advance, I would have prepared at least some of the necessary items for the children.”
“Oh, right. I’m sorry.”
Dylan bowed his head.
What is it, why do I always become this incompetent uncle to this human woman?
Dylan rubbed his very bitter heart, apologizing again and again.
thanks! “Dylan, you baka!” is a very suitable phrase. He is so used to thinking in his own way that being considerate is far out of his league. lolol the cute babies, but their crying is brootal
