How To Survive As a Villain on the Verge of Death

CHAPTER 106

Like the scene in the movie where the groom carries the bride with his arms around her.

“Hey, what are you doing now?”

Terence looked down at her as if wondering what was wrong.

“Isn’t it customary to carry the bride in arms to the bridal room on the first night?”

She heard that too, but she never thought he would actually do it.

“There are only two of us here, so there’s no need to do this…”

“There is a popular belief that if this is not done, bad luck will befall the newlyweds.”

They were going to get divorced in a few years, so was bad luck the problem?

“I didn’t know you believed in such superstitions.”

She said it in a slightly absurd tone, and he gave a calm answer.

“I didn’t believe it at first, but being with someone who can see the future seems to have influenced me.”

Terrence said that and headed to the bedroom while holding her. She was carried to the bedroom, gently held in his arms like a precious lover.

Her whole body became stiff as she could feel the other person’s body temperature through the robe and the mature male scent mixed within it. Suddenly, she heard the sound of her heart pounding in her ears. It was definitely a sound coming from her heart.

From the moment she was held in his arms, her heart was pounding violently. She swallowed dryly and looked elsewhere. The bedroom door appeared one step ahead. Terence skillfully opened the door and went inside. The moment the bedroom door opened, she forgot her embarrassment and opened her mouth blankly.

The entire bedroom was filled with red flowers. Rastana flower.

It seemed that they decorated it with this flower because they thought we had a deep connection with it. There were familiar red flowers not only near the bed, but also on tables, windowsills, nightstands, dressers… The bed, which had a pure white blanket and translucent white curtains, was also decorated with red flowers. The flawless pure white color and brilliant red light created a unique and beautiful harmony.

“Ah… It’s beautiful.”

She was wondering what they were planning for so long. It took a lot of time to decorate it like this. Thanks to this, when she entered the bedroom, the faint scent of flowers lingered in her nose like a sweet temptation. Dozens of candles were lit among the flowers, filling the room with a cozy golden light. The swaying golden waves cast a soft light on the numerous red flowers.

Terence set her down near the bed. She touched the flowers that decorated the bed. They were all freshly blooming flowers. It really was a luxurious wedding from start to finish, bringing so many flowers just for one night. While she was looking at the flowers, Terence next to her was casually taking off his coat. She hastily took her hand away from the flower and turned around.

“Why… Why are you taking off your clothes?”

Terence, who was about to take off his clothes, stopped his movements with a puzzled look.

“Do you want me to keep my coat on?”

“Oh, no.”

‘If you feel uncomfortable, you can take it off.’

Since she was only wearing a thin indoor coat, it was strange to ask the other person not to take off his clothes. Terence looked at her for a moment and then took off his formal coat again. She thought he was just taking off his formal coat, but without any time to stop him, he took off his vest and even the cravat around his neck. In an instant, he was wearing only pants and a thin shirt. Even though they met so often, it was the first time she saw this man dressed so lightly and comfortably. Thanks to this, a body made of wide shoulders and well-structured muscles was visible. It was a body that looked solid and strong, as if it had been made by smelting steel.

As she was looking at it, she felt like her mouth was dry for no reason. She looked at the table by the window. There was a very luxurious looking wine bottle along with two wine glasses. Should she ask him out for a drink? Was he looking at her strangely?

While she was thinking that, Terence was in front of her.

“Princess.”

In the soft light that filled the room, a beautiful, picturesque face appeared. It looked even better when you saw it up close. She barely opened her mouth, swallowing her shame and embarrassment.

“That…”

It was the moment when she was about to ask, ‘Would you like a glass of wine?’ Terence lifted one hand and grabbed her chin, lifting it gently. His thumb slowly stroked her lower lip.

His hand ran down her jawline, past the nape of her neck, and gave her shoulder a firm squeeze. She was startled and was about to step back, but Terence pulled her into his arms.

‘Ah…!’

The moment her body tilted, a hand touched his chest. She felt like her body was wrapped in strong muscles beneath the thin fabric. She hurriedly tried to take his hand away, but Terence’s hand grabbed her waist and pulled her closer. Without any chance to escape, her body tilted and she was pulled into his arms again.

Terence held her in his arms and kissed the back of her neck. The languid kiss on her skin feels as strong as a painting. A strangely sensitive sense arises from his hand holding her shoulder and the hand gently stroking her waist.

His lips moved from her collarbone, across her neck and jawline, to the corner of her mouth.

“Eve…”

He called her name and kissed her lips again. Another sweet kiss continued while trapped in the other person’s imposing body. It was a deeper and more intense kiss, different from the sweet and luscious first kiss she experienced at the wedding hall. Everything was happening so fast that she couldn’t come to her senses. She felt like a prey captured by a wild beast. A prey that was caught by the opponent and was eaten without being able to move.

Her whole body was paralyzed by the hot, tingling sensation rising from her lower abdomen, and even her mind turned white. For a moment, she couldn’t even feel the sweet scent of hundreds of flowers. All other sensations disappeared, and all that remained was the hot warmth felt from their lips touching each other. She felt it again, but this guy was a very good kisser.

The moment their lips slowly parted, he lightly hugged her body again and headed to the bed. It was only after she sat down on the soft bed that she came to her senses and urgently pushed him away.

“Now, wait a minute.”

The situation was getting so out of control. She was swept away by Terence’s skill and atmosphere, and without realizing it, she lost her temper for a moment.

A deep voice came from above his head.

“Why…”

Terence was looking down at her with an unconvinced expression.

“Did I do something wrong?”

“No, you didn’t do anything wrong…”

She was about to ask why he was suddenly doing this, but stopped when she saw Terrence. He looked like he couldn’t understand her reaction.

“This…”

Actually, she didn’t understand why this situation came to be. Of course, she thought she would get a good night’s sleep without anything happening.

“Really… Are you sure you really want to spend the first night?”

“…You don’t like it?”

“No, it’s not that I don’t like it. I thought we would just pretend to do it.”

“I don’t think this is what someone who said in front of His Majesty and the ministers that she would hold on to her husband because I needed a successor would say this.”

“That… I’m just doing this to help you, Terence.”

Did she say earlier that you needed her husband because they had to create a successor in front of the Emperor, who was her biological father, and the ministers? Looking back, it was a very embarrassing situation.

She suppressed the shame rising and spoke again.

“It doesn’t have to be like this. We’re not a real couple.”

“We pledged to be together for life.”

His voice was as calm as usual, but she could sense a faint hint of suppressed anger. Before she could answer, he grabbed her shoulders with both hands and threw her down on the bed. As her body leaned back helplessly, the soft blanket touched her head. As she was shaking in surprise, a large hand grabbed her shoulder again and pressed it. In an instant, she was trapped in his arms, unable to move.

“We exchanged vows, so we are a real couple until we get divorced.”

For a moment, her gaze became entangled with the purple eyes looking at her. His dark purple eyes, like amethyst, were filled with dangerously deep emotions. The moment she met those eyes, she felt a chilling sensation. The scariest thing was that Terence, seen in the cozy light, was so beautiful and seductive. Spending her first night with such a beautiful man… It was difficult to stay sane.

An alarm bell went off in her head.

This… It’s really dangerous. If this continues, she felt like she would get swept up in it without even realizing it and end up doing something she couldn’t go back from.

She grabbed his shoulder with one hand and pushed him back.

“…It is like that now. But I don’t want to leave any uncomfortable feelings behind after we break up.”

So of course she thought there would be no such thing as the first night. It seemed Terence had different thoughts.

‘But this man doesn’t even like me… Is he okay?’

She was a woman who he hated so much until recently. Since he was raised as a high-ranking noble in this world, his way of thinking may be different. Nobles, if necessary, marry and have children even with people they hate. Suddenly she became curious. If the real Eve had survived and completed the wedding safely, would this man have tried to spend his first night with her like he did now?

‘Then again, this is just a process to complete the marriage and there are no special feelings.’

But she wasn’t like that. It may not have been a big deal to this man, but she didn’t want to become meaninglessly involved with someone like this.

‘This man will someday marry someone else and have children.’

If it’s something she had to quit and forget about anyway, she didn’t want to even start. Because she didn’t want unnecessary regrets or unnecessary emotions to remain. It was when she thought about it in the midst of confusion. Her vision began to blur as if there was fog. As her vision darkened, everything around her disappeared. It was a familiar feeling, but now she was so embarrassed that she was shocked.

‘Did a vision come out? In this situation?’

Even though it’s an ability that comes out all the time, wasn’t it too tactless at this point?

‘Look, I don’t think this is the time to see this.’

The moment she blinked her eyes, feeling absurd, her vision became bright again. It was a garden full of green leaves. The clear light blue sky stretches high, fluffy clouds passing by in the warm sunlight. As she breathed in the fresh air, she smell the light scent of flowers and moist grass.

In the distance, she saw a small building covered with clear glass windows. It was a glass greenhouse in the garden. Then this was the Grand Duke’s mansion. At that time, a familiar man appeared next to a large zelkova tree. He was Terence, wearing comfortable clothes.

She was with Terence just a moment ago, so it would be natural for her to have some foresight related to him. Terence was looking around, looking for something. What was he looking for? At that time, a playful laughter was heard from the tree.

She raised her head to where the sound came from. She caught a glimpse of something moving through the thick leaves like a bush. Terence seemed to have found the place too.

A smile as warm as sunlight slowly crept into the corners of his well-shaped mouth. It was a smile that was as calm and friendly as it was unfamiliar. It’s her first time seeing that man smile like that. For a moment, he looked so comfortable and happy that she thought he was someone else. While she stared blankly, he stretched out his arms toward the tree.

“That’s dangerous. Come down quickly.”

A small black-haired boy appeared from within the leaves. He was a small child who looked to be about 5 or 6 years old.

‘No way…’

The moment she saw that child, a strong shock came over her mind. Was he really Terence’s son? He resembled Terence so much that nobody could deny it.
