Dominating the Love of the Villains

CHAPTER 010

“You are always so talkative. It’s not fun.”

“I don’t have to be a fun person.”

“You have to have fun to be good friends.”

“Not really. I don’t want to be your friend.”

Bled took a sip of the lemon tea in front of him and looked out the window. Edmond smiled brightly and muttered that it was fun. The two had been in a relationship for quite some time, but the relationship was one-sided by Edmund. To Bled, who was quiet and liked to be alone in his thoughts, Edmond was a troublesome and noisy being. A candle that he wanted to blow out. It was nothing more, nothing less.

“It’s been a while since I came here in person to see your face, but you didn’t even welcome me…”

Edmond made an exaggerated tearful appearance and pretended to cry by stroking the area around his eyes, which were not even wet, with his fingers.

“Edmond is sad…”

“Ha…”

With a sigh that escaped me without my knowledge, Bled’s gaze returned to Edmon. He wanted to turn his head again when he saw the face of a beautiful young man, eyes wide open, no different from when he first met him decades ago.

Edmund, who could not have known such a thing, stopped pretending to cry and opened his mouth with a faint smile.

“Please don’t be so harsh. I have to go back soon anyway.”

“Soon?”

“Yes. Roman’s kid is still sick.”

Kid. Now that he thought about it, he heard that Edmond had a child that he saved through hardships. A child born between a wizard and a human. He was a child who was born with the power of a wizard but was unable to contain it in his human body, so he was in danger of dying at any moment. The mother passed away at the same time as giving birth to the child, and the child also tried to follow in his mother’s footsteps.

However, Edmond saved the child at the cost of his own life and he was still breathing. He thought it was probably his 10th birthday this year.

Even if a child who was almost dead was once brought in from the brink of death, the child’s body was so weak that he suffered constant bouts of minor illness and never took a single step out of the room.

As sympathy began to appear in Bled’s eyes, Edmond spoke.

“It’s okay.”

Don’t have any thoughts.

Those seemingly forced words made Bled stop thinking about Edmond’s child.

“It’s really okay. I was told that he would get better soon.”

They said it would get better. Bled had doubts about that statement.

No member of the council could hastily lay their hands on Edmond’s child. Because a doctor who was not a wizard could not cure a child whose body was weak due to magic.

There was only one person who could say something like that to Edmond.

A wizard and councilor.

“Is he in Fourwip now?”

“yes. Where would a wizard who lost his place due to the tyranny of the central government go? After all, it is my mother’s arms.”

Powip was the land of wizards. Since it was a land ruled by the only wizard, the castle lord, it was naturally so called because wizards gathered there. The Central Castle was very wary of wizards, and other places also did not like wizards. Powip was the only place where such people could settle down.

“But, well, I’m not the type of person who listens that much. So I’m a little annoyed.”

Edmund was smiling, but there was anger seeping into his voice.

“Did you even know you would be angry?”

Bled, who had doubts about the anger, spoke without filtering. The Edmund he knew was someone who couldn’t get angry. His strengths and weaknesses were that he was quiet and gentle no matter what happened. Of course it’s strange that someone like that showed anger. Even when the human doctor refused to treat his child and turned away after hurling verbal abuse, Edmond only smiled sadly.

He wondered if the child would have been happier if he had died rather than his wife.

Edmond was that kind of person. He didn’t know how to blame others, and instead blames himself and didn’t show his anger.

“…It can’t be good because I’m not motivated when it comes to my child.”

“Is it.”

While Bled was convinced, Edmund looked around the living room. He wondered if there was something uncomfortable about him, but he soon put his right arm comfortably on the arm of his sofa and brought his left hand to his mouth. When he touched his lips with his fingers, a sound that was like a small sigh escaped.

“…Eura.”

Bled looked at him, wondering if he had said something, but he just remained silent as if he had not done anything. Then he took his hand off the armrest and opened his mouth.

“I guess children are together by nature.”

“How did you know that?”

“No, what. I didn’t see you when I arrived.”

“There is no way I would involve my own child, let alone you.”

Bled looked away while hearing a laugh saying, “It’s still cold.”

“Do you know what your child likes?”

“Why are you suddenly asking that?”

“Roman’s birthday is coming up, so I thought I’d give him a gift, but I thought you’d know better since you’ve raised two children.”

“I’m sorry. I don’t know much about that.”

There was no lie in what Bled said. He had never cared for Joshua and Benjamin, and even Sophia, who he had cared for a lot, had long since cut off ties. There was no way such a person would know what was a good gift to give to a child. Because Bled has never been a good father.

“You’re the one who needs advice on these things, I see.”

Bled laughed self-deprecatingly at Edmond’s words that poked at him, and then said what he wanted to say.

“I’ve heard that books are good.”

“Books?”

“A book that contains everything about the world in detail rather than just a fairy tale. I heard that it’s good for children who can’t go outside because they can see the outside world indirectly.”

“Surely… It would be a great gift for Roman.”

After that, Edmond spent time asking Bled various questions. The transaction items had already been received through a servant before he entered the parlor, so there was nothing to say about the transaction from the beginning. The purpose of meeting a close friend was clear, so Bled hung out with him for quite some time, and only after drinking about three cups of his tea did Edmond stand up.

“I have to go now. It was nice to see you after a long time.”

“Now we’re leaving.”

“Yes. Oh, before I go, would it be okay if I take a moment to look at the garden that the former Queen Mother created?”

If it were a garden that Chase had created, it was located in Rosent Castle, where Sophia is located.

“Is there any other reason not to do so?”

Bled hesitated for a moment as his eyes widened as he smiled, then nodded. It’s okay if you just want to see the garden. It’s not good for him to look suspicious for no reason.

He kept Joshua and Benjamin at Rosenst Castle just in case. To explain the abnormally large number of servants, the reason why those two lived there was the most appropriate reason. Since he made that level of preparation, it should be okay. Bled tried to call Dane out of habit, but when he realized he was currently with Joshua and Benjamin, he called someone else.

“Anthea. Please guide me.”

Anthea, who was at the drawing-room door, nodded her head at the command, and then she left the drawing-room with Edmund.

“Edmond.”

“Yes?”

Anthea looked at Edmond with doubt at the name that suddenly appeared without any preamble. Then Edmund smiled and answered.

“My name.”

“Yes. I know, Edmond.”

“Then I’m glad.”

As Edmund said this, he touched the ring on his left ring finger. Then the staff he had been holding on the ground when he first came here appeared. The appearance of the staff, which looked like the root of a tree, caught Anthea’s attention for a moment, but then, realizing her duty, she came to her senses again and guided him into the garden.

Edmund, who entered Castle Rosen, noticed that there were quite a few servants and servants inside the castle.

“There are quite a few people.”

“It is because it is the castle where the masters are staying. Ah, this way for a moment.”

Anthea hurriedly led Edmond to the side, as he was looking around and almost collided with someone coming from behind.

“Sorry. I have a bit of a long way to go.”

“It’s okay, let’s go quickly.”

“…ah.”

Joshua, who was walking quickly with Serita, belatedly confirmed who the person who answered my question was.

“I’m really sorry.”

“Even if it’s okay. It looks like you’re busy. Hurry up.”

Joshua bowed slightly in greeting and then quickly walked away. When they were almost gone, Edmond asked about the person who was with Joshua.

“Who is it?”

“This is Master Joshua and Representative Serita.”

lawmaker. At those words, Edmund raised his hand and covered his mouth.

“I wonder if someone is so sick that they are running so far…”

He felt like he would be caught laughing.
