DM Chapter 46

For a moment, Sarin couldn’t grasp what had happened. She seemed to freeze for a moment, not even thinking about wiping off the blood that splattered on her face, and just shrugged her shoulders.

Every time she closed and opened her eyes, her vision blurred as if spider webs were covering her vision. When she tried to wipe her eyes with the back of her hand, Owen grabbed her hand and gently rubbed his thumb over the cum on her cheeks and lips.

A bitter taste filled her mouth. After smearing it on Sarin’s face as if applying lipstick, a cruel satisfaction crossed his face.

“You look pretty no matter what you put on.”

A dirty face suited her well. The thought that Sarin’s face smelled entirely of his cum was more satisfying than he had expected. The viscous body fluid that clung to Sarin’s face as he moved pleased him.

A long stream of cum ran down her chin and soaked the front of her dress.

The blue color suited her well. With stains on it, it was even better.

“Now let’s go back.”

He couldn’t leave the place empty for long.Yuri was right; keeping Nikolai waiting was a bad idea.

Kirill left early in the morning.Nikolai, who was following them, was weighing something. He knew he’d start weighing his options, or the heir to Belov’s throne, someday, but the timing wasn’t right.

“…I want to meet the child.”

“Sure. If you beg so beautifully, you should be rewarded.”

He was acting completely like Hayan’s guardian, but Sarin said nothing because it had been true since the moment she’d come to Eden City.

Yuri drove the car back to Eden City.

Sarin, sitting side by side with Owen in the back seat, stared out into the darkness beyond the window.

The winter sun sets quickly. It was undoubtedly afternoon when they departed, but due to the cloudy sky, it rapidly darkened into night.

As they passed through the grove of pine trees, the car’s headlights extended. Perhaps there had been a car following them all along, but she hadn’t noticed.

He was a man who always found her like a ghost when she walked the dog. Under Owen, who ruled Eden City, there were numerous people, including the one attached to her and the one who protected him from behind.

She was more nervous than relieved to be back where she was.

She caught a glimpse of Owen watching her through the black window. Unable to ignore it, Sarin turns her head to the side and makes eye contact with him.

“Why are you looking at me like that?”

After washing up, there shouldn’t be anything left on her face, but enduring his intense gaze was difficult. His gaze dropped from her face to her exposed neck and further down.

Her dress was now stained with white, hardened semen. Owen chuckled briefly as he tucked the coat around her. Despite wiping it hastily, the marks seemed more vivid when dry.

Since she couldn’t see any clothes to change into, she had no choice but to get back in the car with the same clothes. Anyway, she could change clothes when they returned to Eden City.

Yuri, who looked back at Owen’s laughter, was reflected in the rearview mirror.

“I just wiped my face… Stop looking at me.”

Continuing to wipe her face, she added in a small voice toward the unresponsive Owen.

“You’ve gone too far.”

His hand swiftly approached. There was hardly any space to avoid it inside the car. She flinched, and as she stayed still, his fingers lightly touched her ear. Strangely, that part felt warm. His hand didn’t easily withdraw.

Staring fixedly at Sarin’s pale, damp face as if she had washed it with cold water, Owen was lost in thought.

A face so small it could fit in the palm of his hand, with dense features and a small frame. The big, blinking eyes were still his favorites. When well groomed, objectively, she had a pretty face, but Owen preferred something other than her face.

Even though she had a helpless face like this, she was a woman who sometimes stared at him, wondering what he was thinking.

It wasn’t a face filled with fear. Owen had noticed long ago that Sarin rarely experienced genuine terror. It wasn’t particularly frightening to her. It was evident that she thought she just needed to roughly take care of herself in any situation to prolong her life.

“I’ll go take a shower.”

‘So I hope you don’t touch me like that.’

Sarin, who couldn’t express her true feelings outwardly, conveyed that meaning, but Owen still didn’t let go. Gradually, it spread from her earlobes to just below her neck. Perhaps due to the heater, the air felt warm.

As the chilly breeze entered through the window, she huddled her shoulders and raised the window again. It felt like she was consciously performing and having a show alone.

“Can you…please take your hand off?”

She was afraid of the consequences of pushing his hand away herself. In response to Sarin’s trembling voice, Owen finally burst into laughter. His mood, which had been sinking to the floor, gradually improved to the point where he momentarily forgot about the chaos in Eden City.

“Thank you.”

Having someone by his side while raising loyal and lovable dogs wasn’t so bad. Finding someone who listened well, was pretty, and appealed to him was a difficult task. Sarin glanced at him, then immediately stared straight ahead.

“Did you eat?”

“I haven’t eaten.”

She could barely make it to the bathroom. She had only washed her face and been driven to the car, so she couldn’t rummage through the refrigerator.

“That’s why you’re so sensitive.”

He recalled Sarin saying that eating something would improve her mood. When a splitting headache hit, he felt desperate enough to believe it and opened the fridge to find something to eat.

And Owen understood. It wasn’t about the food; it was the fact that the headache eased during moments when he focused on this woman.

Sarin’s whole body was sensitive. Not because she hadn’t eaten, but because there was no part of her that he hadn’t touched, and she deliberately pretended not to know, speaking slowly, causing her neck to turn even redder.

If he didn’t eat, he might forget about her meals altogether. Though she seems to eat well when left alone,.

“I might not be able to come in for a while. Just stay quiet. The dogs have been walked, so it’s enough.”

Even without him saying it, she thought it was because of Pavel.

“Dogs need to be walked, but…”

It was a bit of a bother not to be able to walk them for a few days. When Sarin said that, Owen’s brow furrowed. Looking at the face of a man who was saying, “Who cares about whom?” she realized her situation.

“Yuri will take care of it.”

The car seemed to sway for a moment. Even without looking at his expression through the rearview mirror, she could see Yuri making a face.

A considerable amount of time had passed, and in the distance, the dazzling lights of Eden City became visible. It was often referred to as the City of Light, and from the outside, it was an endlessly glamorous and beautiful city.

The car was smoothly running on a road high above a frozen lake. Until a large truck without its headlights on appeared, there was nothing out of the ordinary for them.

Suddenly, the truck abruptly emerged in front of the car. In the moment she thought her body was tilting sideways, Owen grabbed her arm and pulled her into his embrace.

Another car escorting them quickly swerved in front of the truck to block it, but the truck continued without slowing down.

BANG!

A massive impact struck their bodies.

She couldn’t understand what was happening. Her memory was briefly cut off in his embrace, and then the sound of shattering glass accompanied her body being tossed around in the car. She only felt the man’s embrace tightly above her head.

Boom!

Continuous rain and warming weather had made the ice on the lake thin. It wasn’t long before she felt the icy water rushing in through the broken window. The accident happened halfway across the lake, and the car went straight to the bottom.

Her head was spinning.

She didn’t have time to realize what had happened. In the pitch-dark water, nothing was visible. Only the headlights of the car endlessly revealed the sinking bottom. When she reached out her hand, she found the broken part of the car door.

She squeezed her way out and swam frantically to the other side, where the car’s lights were shining.

She hadn’t even reached the shore, but she was already out of breath.

Struggling with the determination to survive, she barely emerged from the water. The outside was chaotic.

“Haa…. Haa….”

“Owen!”

Fortunately, she emerged through the hole where the ice had broken. Sarin, with a bewildered look, called for Owen’s name. Yuri, seemingly thrown out at the moment of impact, was wet and lying on the ice. He looked at Sarin with desperate eyes.

Only then did she realize that Owen didn’t make it out.

Unable to move his badly injured arms and legs, Yuri yelled upwards.

“Hurry up and do something instead of standing there!”

Sarin’s gaze flicked to the bridge, the vague sound of gunfire muffled by waterlogged ears. How long would it take for someone to get down here? Her gaze drifted back down to the surface. The car’s headlights still lit up the dark lake.

Breathing deeply, Sarin looked at Yuri with despairing eyes.

It felt like her lungs would tear in the cold air.

“Owen can’t swim.”

The only person he could trust here was that woman. With a sense of helplessness, Yuri spoke, and Sarin was already gone from that spot.
