Chapter 96 – Displaying Their Skills

During this time, the team led by Xie Xu held the rear carriages while also working to draw the aliens towards them, alleviating the pressure on Tu Ran’s team.

The burly man led the charge, easily cutting down the seven or eight infectious aliens blocking the sixth carriage with a few swift strikes of his machete.

Since the doors of the fourth and fifth carriages were left open, his commotion quickly attracted the aliens wandering in those carriages. Their stiff bodies identified the direction and rushed forward one after another.

Tu Ran, hiding behind the burly man, peeked out and shuddered at the bloody, terrifying scene.

From her angle, she felt like a delectable drumstick in the middle of a plate, with a pack of vicious dogs charging in to devour her.

The burly man let out a loud yell and swung his machete, charging forward.

Simultaneously, the people in the seventh carriage retreated to the eighth carriage, leaving the seventh carriage as a buffer zone. They created various noises to attract the attention of the hungry aliens.

Xie Xu stood prominently in the middle of the seventh carriage.

Instantly, some of the aliens were drawn to him and rushed toward the seventh carriage.

The aliens were mindless; seeing their companions charge ahead, they followed suit without hesitation.

Now, the first step of their plan was essentially achieved.

They had divided the aliens in the carriage into three groups.

One group was being handled by the people in the second carriage.

Another group was tackled by Tu Ran’s squad.

The last group was left to Xie Xu’s team.

The pressure on Tu Ran’s team was instantly reduced.

The burly man slashed wildly in the front, while the two men behind him continuously fired their guns.

The aliens didn’t have a chance to get close before being decapitated and falling to the ground.

As the aliens in the front fell, those behind continued to surge forward, piling up the bodies layer upon layer.

The entire carriage was filled with a nauseating, bloody stench.

Tu Ran, stuck in the middle, found herself with nothing to do.

Her only responsibility was to call out to the survivors.

According to the red dots on the communicator, most of the survivors in this carriage were hiding in the restrooms.

Since the restrooms were relatively safe, Tu Ran didn’t ask them to come out.

Given the current situation outside, it would be more dangerous for these people to leave the restrooms.

The smell might be unpleasant, but they only needed to hold on for less than an hour until the train stopped at Mitney Square, where help would arrive.

The focus was on those who hadn’t hidden in the restrooms.

For instance, some people were hiding under the seats, taking advantage of the aliens’ blind spots.

However, if an alien happened to fall over, these people would be in significant danger.

Some clever and physically strong individuals had managed to hang onto the train’s overhead handrails, also utilizing the aliens’ blind spots.

But human strength is limited, and they couldn’t hold on like this for long.

Tu Ran gathered these people and escorted them to the restrooms for safety.

The other four members of the squad covered her while she did this.

After securing the survivors from these three carriages, the five of them retreated to the sixth carriage.

A swarm of aliens immediately followed them into the sixth carriage.

Their primary task wasn’t to kill all the aliens but to reach the third carriage as quickly as possible.

So, after luring the aliens from the fourth, fifth, and sixth carriages into the sixth carriage, the five of them displayed their unique skills.

Some flipped over the narrow seats, some swung from the top of the carriage, and others stepped on the aliens’ heads and shoulders to leap across.

The five of them quickly made their way into the fifth carriage.
