The Emergence of Infectious Alien Species

Chapter 93 – The Emergence of Infectious Alien Species

He continued to repeat the previous words.

Tu Ran and Xie Xu exchanged a knowing glance, and Xie Xu walked towards the front carriage.

Meanwhile, more and more people crowded in this direction. Adults held children, the elderly supported each other, and everyone was panicked, shouting and crying.

Some people had blood splatters on their clothes, making everything look terrifying.

Tu Ran also stood up and grabbed a man casually. “What happened up front?”

“Many people up front went crazy and started biting others. The bitten ones go crazy too! They’ve already reached the carriage ahead; stop dawdling and run back!”

The man shook off Tu Ran’s hand and ran towards the rear carriage.

At the moment she touched the man, Tu Ran saw the scene she wanted.

A male passenger had suddenly fainted after boarding the train.

People gathered around to check his condition.

A woman with a daughter put the child aside and squatted to check the man’s breath.

The man on the ground suddenly opened his eyes, revealing only the whites, which looked especially eerie.

It was too late for the woman to escape.

He bit into her neck, tearing off a large chunk of flesh.

The woman died instantly, her head lolling to one side.

The man chewed on the flesh from her neck, blood flowing down from the corners of his mouth.

Everyone was terrified and fled in panic.

The man swallowed the flesh, jumped up, and chased after the next person to bite.

Three seconds later, the fallen woman also came back to life, pushing herself off the ground unsteadily.

However, her black pupils had vanished, leaving her eye sockets entirely white.

She twitched and walked towards her daughter, who was paralyzed with fear.

As her consciousness returned, a chill rose from the soles of Tu Ran’s feet, spreading through her body.

Was that… a zombie?!

It could infect others through the wound…

In her mind, the words left by Xi Chunzhi floated up: “Infectious alien species.”

Xie Xu, who had gone to check the situation in the front carriage, quickly ran back.

He handed a communicator to Tu Ran and spoke rapidly, “There’s a situation with infectious alien species up front. Report it to the administration building and get them to transfer control of the train’s broadcast system to this communicator.”

“Okay,” Tu Ran nodded quickly.

Although she had a communicator, it could only be used to contact Xie Xu privately and could not send information to the administration building. Only the Federal Government’s work communicators could connect directly to the administration center.

After giving instructions, Xie Xu took out his handgun and ran towards the front.

Then Tu Ran heard the sound of gunshots and screams.

She called Zero out and quickly dictated the message: “This is suspended train Q4245. I am Pioneer Tu Ran. There is an appearance of unknown infectious alien species on this train. Many people in the carriages are infected, and the infection is spreading rapidly.”

“Senior Researcher Xie Xu requests that the train’s broadcast control be transferred to this communication device. We need to coordinate arrangements for all personnel on the train. Additionally, please suspend all intermediate stops to prevent the spread of the infection. Lastly, please prepare for timely reception.”

All federal suspended trains are driverless and controlled entirely by computer programs. If the administration building is not notified in time to stop the train, the next station might release an unknown number of infection sources.

Three minutes after sending the message, the broadcast in the carriage changed.

The administration building had responded.
