Developing Superpowers in Another World

One vs. Many

Chapter 75 – One vs. Many

The walls were a rough, dark gray, and the floor was covered in black tiles. Along the walls, various types of firearms and weapons were haphazardly piled. In the center of the space was a large fighting ring, with fighting gear and punching bags lined up in a row.

Suspended from the ceiling was a transparent glass room.

At this moment, Xie Xu stood there, looking down.

Their eyes met from a distance, and he raised his hand, making a gesture.

Before Tu Ran could comprehend the meaning of the gesture, a crowd of people rushed toward her.

Tu Ran: “?”

So that gesture was an order for these people?

Tu Ran had no time to think. She swung her backpack at the two people in the front. One ducked and dodged, but the other wasn’t so lucky and got hit in the face, falling backward.

The one who dodged wasn’t lucky for long. Tu Ran used another strap of her backpack to hook around his neck, yanking him forward. Using him as support, she jumped up, kicking away four or five men who were approaching.

She then jumped behind him, grabbed his collar, and threw him into the oncoming crowd.

A whole group was knocked down.

The space echoed with screams. The vastness of the area amplified the echoes, making them sound even more miserable.

Since these people were engaging in close combat without weapons, Tu Ran also refrained from using her gun or knife.

Tu Ran hadn’t expected to be in another brawl so soon after the one that morning. However, the skill level of these opponents was clearly higher than those she faced earlier with Zhou Ming.

The morning fight had been manageable, but this one was proving to be much more challenging.

She was fully focused on dealing with the three people in front of her when someone behind her swung a punch. Though she heard the sound of it cutting through the air, she was too entangled with the three in front to avoid it. The punch landed solidly on her shoulder.

She grunted, staggered forward a few steps, and at that moment, one of the men in front of her seized the opportunity and punched her in the cheek.

Her vision went black for a moment, and she felt like her teeth might have been knocked out. She tasted blood in her mouth.

Spitting out some bloody saliva, Tu Ran wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth. She glanced around, fiercely glaring at the circle of people surrounding her.

With a swift kick, she hit the waist of the person who had attacked her from behind.

The force was so strong that he flew away in a C-shape, crashing into a pile of weapons by the wall.

Tu Ran immediately turned and kicked another person in the neck. His eyes rolled back, his head tilted, and he collapsed to the ground, unconscious.

The onlookers on the edge of the battleground quickly moved his body away.

She changed her strategy. Her advantage lay in her speed and small frame. In terms of sheer strength, she was no match for this group.

Avoiding direct confrontations, Tu Ran skillfully ran back and forth in the underground space, dispersing the group and taking them down one by one.

With another kick, she struck someone’s jaw.

She heard the crack of bones.

This was followed by a man’s scream.

He was pulled from the battleground for medical attention.

Then another kick, and she struck someone in an inappropriate place.

Tu Ran felt a surge of guilt and, as he was being pulled off the battleground, bowed apologetically, “Sorry, I didn’t mean it.”

The man’s eyes rolled back, and he passed out.

Tu Ran realized her leg strength was very powerful, so she made full use of her legs, opting to kick rather than punch whenever possible.
