Target Practice

Chapter 63 – Target Practice

Then, Xie Xu fired an entire magazine of bullets in quick succession, each one hitting the bullseye, passing through the hole made by the previous bullet.

The target had only one hole left.

Tu Ran silently applauded him in her mind.

Excellent.

The difference between people was really vast.

Turning her attention back to her own practice, Tu Ran continued shooting.

“Hold the gun firmly, aim steadily, fire lightly,” Xie Xu’s voice suddenly came.

Tu Ran glanced at him, puzzled as to why he was instructing her, but she followed his advice anyway.

Loading the bullet, she positioned her body in a stable triangular structure, extended her arms straight, with the curve of the gun handle fitting perfectly into her grip, controlling the handgun securely between her hands.

She closed her left eye, aimed with her right, aligning the rear sight, front sight, and target in one line, completing her aim.

Her right index finger rested on the trigger, pressing down slowly and evenly.

During this process, a faint, almost inaudible click sounded.

“Bang!”

The bullet fired, and the recoil caused her body to shake slightly, but the movement was minimal and negligible.

Looking up, she saw the bullet had hit the bullseye.

Tu Ran: “?”

So, was there any difference between her shooting method just now and before?

She had practiced this way before, too.

Why did she hit the bullseye this time, but not before?

Now it seemed like she couldn’t do it without Xie Xu’s guidance.

Countless thoughts flashed through Tu Ran’s mind, but outwardly, she remained composed, raising her arm again to fire the next bullet.

“Focus. Thinking about too many things will affect your shooting accuracy,” Xie Xu said.

Tu Ran paused for a moment. How did this guy know she wasn’t focusing?

She turned to look at him; he was aiming at his target and shooting.

The empty shooting range constantly echoed with the sound of bullets being fired.

Each shot hit the bullseye.

Didn’t he say to focus? How could he still shoot so accurately after talking to her?

And with his level of skill, did he really need to practice here?

Tu Ran thought to herself.

Turning back to her own shooting, her mind involuntarily replayed Xie Xu’s eight words of advice.

“Bang… bang bang bang bang…”

Tu Ran removed her safety glasses and looked at the target.

Almost all the shots were on target, with only one missing, but it was just one centimeter away from the bullseye.

Tu Ran sighed inwardly. Was this the difference a good instructor could make?

But then, if he was so good at instructing, why hadn’t he helped the original owner?

Setting her handgun aside and removing her safety glasses, Tu Ran looked at him, lost in thought.

Xie Xu continued shooting, ignoring her.

After thinking for a moment, Tu Ran turned and left.

After all, what he had taught her was now hers to keep.

Whatever his motive was, it didn’t matter.

Tu Ran didn’t leave the training ground but moved to the sniper rifle practice area.

Long-distance sniping was something the original owner had never attempted, and she wanted to give it a try.

Compared to the lightweight handgun, the sniper rifle was much heavier.

Using her ID card, Tu Ran obtained a sniper rifle, carried the 10-kilogram weapon to the designated sniper practice lane, set up the rifle, and lay down to adjust her aim.

The handgun’s shooting distance had been 25 meters, but the sniper rifle’s range was 500 meters, with options for 800 meters and 1200 meters.

However, Tu Ran was realistic about her abilities; 500 meters was enough for her.

From this distance, the bullseye looked like an ant on the ground from a helicopter.
