Developing Superpowers in Another World

This Superpower Has No Effect

Chapter 60 – This Superpower Has No Effect

Unable to figure it out, she decided not to think about it anymore.

After ten days of tension, she needed to relax.

She took a hot bath in the bathroom, then wrapped herself in a blanket and returned to her bedroom, collapsing onto the bed and falling into a deep sleep.

In Reigaken State, she had never slept well. She was deeply afraid that someone around her had been possessed by an alien and would climb into her bed while she slept.

Now, fully relaxed, she slept soundly and deeply.

When she woke up the next day, it was already ten in the morning.

Sunlight peeked through the gaps in the curtains, and Tu Ran stared blankly at that beam of light.

It was nice to wake up naturally.

In her previous world, she could wake up naturally every weekend.

Capitalists in this world were really awful; there were no legal holidays.

Only those who made contributions to the Federation and received awards from the Federation were occasionally granted vacations.

She really missed the old days.

Tu Ran felt very sad.

After lying in bed for an hour, she reluctantly got up.

She couldn’t let herself be too indulgent; she had a lot to learn.

Besides, she needed to see what superpower the chicken monster’s inner core possessed.

Before she left last time, she had casually placed the Gu Diao’s inner core on the table.

Tu Ran picked it up and examined it closely; its appearance was identical to the one given to her by the Hook Snake.

How effective was it?

Tu Ran swallowed it in one gulp. As it entered her throat, the hard bead turned into a stream of clear liquid, flowing into her limbs and bones.

It was indeed an inner core.

Tu Ran sat still, waiting for the superpower to manifest.

She waited for a while, but nothing happened.

Did she need to move first?

Tu Ran stood up and walked around the room twice, but there was still no noticeable change in her body.

So… what was this superpower?

Tu Ran could imagine hundreds of possible superpowers, but she couldn’t guess which one this might be.

She swung her fists and kicked her legs, but her strength was the same as before. She tried forming hand seals like in fantasy dramas and pushed them out, but nothing magical happened.

It seemed like nothing had changed…

Tu Ran sighed and gave up hope.

This superpower might only be discovered by chance.

Her stomach growled, and she patted it as she walked towards the fridge.

Opening the fridge, the first thing she saw was a box of frozen fried chicken.

After being in the fridge for ten days, it was no longer edible.

The entire fridge was empty except for this bag of fried chicken.

Did the original owner never eat at home?! Tu Ran wondered.

It looked like she would have to buy some groceries herself.

She went back to her bedroom to change into some casual clothes. Passing by a mirror, Tu Ran stopped to examine herself.

The original owner had a great figure, not slim or plump, but with a healthy touch of muscle.

Tu Ran lifted her shirt; the original owner’s abdomen had a thin layer of abs.

This perfect muscle definition was something she had always dreamed of.

She hadn’t expected to obtain it this way.

All in all, the original owner’s looks and figure were great, and its abilities were strong.

The only flaw was being too infatuated.

But no one was perfect. Even the most outstanding people had flaws. However, since she was in this body now, she would strive to be as perfect as possible.

Tu Ran grabbed the bag of fried chicken and headed out.

Passing by the trash bin downstairs, she tossed it in.

“Zero, find the nearest supermarket.”

“The nearest supermarket location has been found. The route has been planned for you.”

Following the route, Tu Ran walked for fifteen minutes and arrived at a large supermarket.
