Taking You Home

Chapter 371 – Taking You Home

“Yes, they came to this world together, and now they are at the underground trading market on East Huai Road in Border City.”

Tu Ran smiled in relief, she had known it all along.

“I heard you’re leaving?” The Doughball suddenly asked.

This was the first time Tu Ran had heard the Hundred-Eyed Elf ask her a question.

Curious, Tu Ran didn’t hide anything, “Yes, before killing Hache Bulu, I want to send all my companions away, and I also need to gather some mental energy to enhance my strength.”

“You will come back, right?”

Upon hearing that Tu Ran would be leaving temporarily, Wuma Fenghua immediately sat up straight from her half-lying position, squinting at Tu Ran.

Without a doubt, she got a positive reply from Tu Ran.

Still not believing it, she looked up at her Hundred-Eyed Elf, with blood-red nails pointing at Tu Ran, and asked again, “She will come back, right?”

Tu Ran stared at the sharp finger in front of her, moving her body slightly to the side to avoid it.

The Hundred-Eyed Elf floated up and down, “I can’t see the future.”

Wuma Fenghua bit her lower lip, her hand dropped in frustration, she clutched her skirt and stood up. Suddenly, she stopped acting out of sorts, becoming graceful and proud.

She raised her chin, “I think you will come back. Otherwise, I will report the location of Blue Star to the Rulers. Although they can’t find a way there for now, as soon as they set their sights on it, within a hundred years, their warships will surely arrive.”

Though her words were unpleasant, Tu Ran couldn’t deny that, even with such sharp and bitter remarks, she was still beautiful.

Tu Ran wasn’t intimidated by her threat and lazily extended three fingers. “Go ahead and report me. By the time they find out you were colluding with me, it won’t take a hundred years—within three years, your Wuma Star will be doomed.”

Wuma Fenghua: “…Devious and sly Blue Star person.”

Tu Ran couldn’t be bothered to argue with her any longer. She took out a list from her sleeve and tossed it toward her. “Find these people for me. I want to take them with me.”

Wuma Fenghua caught the list, which unrolled in her hands, about half a meter long. Her eyes moved from top to bottom, and she immediately noticed, “They’re all from Blue Star?”

“Some of them are,” Tu Ran blew on her nails. “The rest are from other worlds. I’ll take them back along the way.”

“You’re worried that Hache Bulu might self-destruct and destroy the entire Border City, so you’re moving them out in advance?”

“Sort of,” Tu Ran replied. After all, she now had space and could shove them all inside. Even if she couldn’t send them back to their original places, at least they would be safe in another world.

Wuma Fenghua rolled the list up and put it away. “Tomorrow morning, meet me at East Huai Road.”

She would send everyone there.

Tu Ran straightened up, thanked her, and then climbed out of the window.

Outside the window, people in black robes were coming and going. Tu Ran didn’t climb out openly; she became invisible and only revealed herself once she had reached a safe location.

Tu Ran went to find Li Rui.

The place Wuma Fenghua had arranged was East Huai Road, and Li Rui’s location was also at the underground trading market on East Huai Road.

Underground Trading Market.

Under the bright lights, the crowd was bustling. Streams of information were visible in mid-air, some large, some small, with layers of colorful light screens, numbers scrolling, and fluctuating curves.

Tu Ran lowered her gaze and followed the route in her mind, moving closer to Li Rui.

She eventually stopped in front of a thick white metal door.

The door was tightly closed, with the Green-Eyed and Red Crown tribes standing guard outside together.

Tu Ran stopped in time, abruptly changing direction to act as if she were just passing by.

Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a fluorescent green electronic sign on the doorframe: “Director’s Office.”

The formal title reminded Tu Ran of Blue Star.

She casually walked over to a wall far from the door, raised her hand, and knocked on it. It was solid.

Turning her back to the door, she faced the crowd.

Everyone was focused on their own business, eyes following the floating light screens above them. No one paid attention to Tu Ran.

Tu Ran waited for the right moment, took a step back with her right foot, and blended into the wall.

[Phase Shift] + [Invisibility]

Entering the “Director’s Office,” her eyes immediately fell on Li Rui and Song Bai at the desk.

It had been a long time since they’d last met, and both of them had changed significantly. Not only had their clothing and style shifted away from their original ones, but the youthful innocence in their eyes had completely faded, replaced by maturity and composure.

They were having a conversation.

“Do you think Sister Tu Ran knows we were the ones who sent her the money?” Song Bai asked worriedly.

“She probably guessed it. Didn’t the Hundred-Eyed Elf mention that Sister Tu Ran also has a Hundred-Eyed Elf on her side? With so much money suddenly appearing, Sister Tu Ran will definitely wonder who sent it,” Li Rui analyzed calmly.

“When will Sister Tu Ran come to find us?” Song Bai clenched her hands. “Since Sister Tu Ran must have recognized us a long time ago and even saved us, why hasn’t she come to find us?”

Li Rui wrapped her arm around her trembling shoulder, leaning her against her, and comforted her, “Sister Tu Ran must have more important things to handle. Besides, with her special identity, not coming to find us is actually for our own good.”

Tu Ran circled the entire office, confirming that it was safe enough before she revealed herself. “Did I not come?”

The sudden voice and appearance made both of them shudder. Li Rui almost called someone in but quickly realized it was Tu Ran. She immediately covered her mouth and then covered Song Bai’s mouth as well.

The two of them stared at Tu Ran for a few seconds, then quickly ran out from behind the desk and embraced her.

“Sister Tu Ran, you finally found us…” Song Bai’s voice cracked with emotion.

“We’ve been waiting for you for so long. You have no idea how hard it’s been, living in constant fear, afraid you would never come to this world, or that if you did, you wouldn’t be able to find us and would leave,” Li Rui explained, recounting their experiences during that time.

Tu Ran listened quietly.

“Luckily, you gave us powers. With Xiao Bai’s [Judgment], we made some money in the casino, so we didn’t starve to death. I used the rest of the money to open this trading market. I just followed my dad’s example, doing what he did, and surprisingly, it worked,” Li Rui said with a hint of pride.

Song Bai choked up and added, “We were worried you wouldn’t know we were in this world and that we might expose Blue Star. So, we used all the money we made and scattered it, just to make sure you’d hear our name. We believed that once you saw that name, you’d guess it was probably us.”

The two of them spoke casually, but for two young girls from different worlds, coming to such a place, gambling at casinos, opening a trading market, showing off their wealth, and spending money—it hadn’t been easy to get to where they were now, staying safe all the way.

Once their emotions had calmed down, the three of them separated, standing facing each other. Tu Ran finally noticed that both of them had red rims around their eyes.

“I’m here to take you back. Get ready; we leave tomorrow morning.”

“Yay! Finally, I can see my father!” Li Rui wiped her nose and glanced around the office she’d lived in for the past three months. “We don’t need to prepare anything. We’ve already spent all our money, and whatever we had left we gave to you, Sister Tu Ran. Let’s just leave right away.”

Song Bai nodded in agreement.

Tu Ran thought things through more carefully. “The Green-Eyed and Red Crown outside, are they people you hired?”

Li Rui nodded, “They’re all really capable.”

Tu Ran: “…” Indeed, money could move mountains.

“Won’t they be suspicious if you suddenly disappeared?” After all, she still had to visit East Huai Road tomorrow morning, so she couldn’t afford to cause too much of a stir.

“They won’t be,” Song Bai on the left replied. “We’ve never let them into the office. Without our orders, they won’t come in or notice that we’re gone.”

Tu Ran nodded. She then explained the existence of the space in detail to the two of them, and after that, she brought them into the space and left the office.
