Developing Superpowers in Another World

You Delivered Yourself to My Door

Chapter 331 – You Delivered Yourself to My Door

She crawled up from the ground, not making any sudden movements. Instead, she hunched her body and peered through the gaps at the street, while debris continued to fall from the ceiling.

Almost all the pedestrians had evacuated, and the street was empty.

The team that had been hiding in the shadows emerged, laser guns in hand, gathering in the street and cautiously approaching the bar.

They must have believed that the space-cutting attack earlier had killed her inside.

Xie Zhao was being cautious as well, still in the building across from her, watching intently. He showed no intention of coming down.

Tu Ran glanced at the people gathering in the street.

It was the perfect opportunity.

She pulled out a dozen or so different types of bombs from her space and threw them all at once.

Among them were two smoke grenades, and the smoke quickly spread, filling the entire street and obscuring everyone’s vision.

The people below immediately realized the danger and scattered in all directions.

But it was too late; the bombs exploded one after another.

Amid the thick smoke, blood mist rose in waves, mixed with scattered body parts.

The blast bombs were incredibly powerful, and with so many exploding at once, even the bar where Tu Ran was hiding couldn’t escape the blast. The shockwave accelerated the building’s collapse. Tu Ran kicked through the back wall of the bar and jumped out.

The building where Xie Zhao was also suffered from the bomb’s shockwave. He quickly raised his hand and cut through the space to block the impact and heat, protecting the entire building.

The explosion ceased, but the thick smoke had yet to clear. The air was filled with the acrid smell of gunpowder and the unmistakable scent of blood.

Xie Zhao’s expression darkened, and he could no longer maintain his composure. His fingers gripped the window frame, and his upper body leaned forward as he scanned the street outside, trying to catch sight of Tu Ran amid the thick smoke.

This was the unexpected move he had planned for Tu Ran. Now that she knew what abilities he had, if she managed to escape, it would be difficult to find such a perfect opportunity again.

Moreover, he had used [Ability Seal] so many times, exhausting a tremendous amount of energy. He had barely sealed her powers, and if she escaped now, all his efforts would have been in vain.

“Jie, search for Tu Ran’s location and send another team over,” he said through gritted teeth, pressing the communication button.

“Are you looking for me?” a voice came from behind him, softly.

After Tu Ran used [Teleportation] to escape the explosion’s range, she hadn’t used any more abilities. She feared that Xie Zhao might detect her location through his powers, so she relied entirely on her physical strength, running through the chaos. Before the explosion’s sound even faded, she had reached the bottom of this building, quickly stabilizing her breath, then slowly and quietly climbed up.

Fortunately for her, Xie Zhao was determined to kill her and was confident in his own abilities, so he hadn’t even left anyone behind to guard him.

Xie Zhao stiffened. The [Space Cutting] attack immediately shot toward Tu Ran.

“Annihilate!” Tu Ran raised her hand.

There was blood on her knuckles, but no visible wound. Her hands were covered in dust, and her gesture was nonchalant.

Even so, the supersonic [Space Cutting] was intercepted instantly. A huge energy shield, shaped like an arc, formed around Tu Ran. The collision of their powers created a burst of white sparks.

Xie Zhao’s forehead began to bead with fine sweat.

[Ability Seal] already drained a lot of stamina, and with Tu Ran having so many abilities, Xie Zhao had used it five or six times in a row. It was a testament to his good physical training that he had managed to hold on this long, especially considering that [Space Cutting] was not only a spatial ability but also an advanced one. The combination of these two powers had left him almost exhausted.

He struggled to control his trembling hand, trying not to let Tu Ran notice.

In contrast, Tu Ran seemed completely at ease, the gesture of throwing out [Annihilation] effortless.

At that moment, not only did she feel no fatigue, but even the wound on her back had healed to the point where she no longer felt the pain.

“Commander, do you know? I was actually coming to find you, and you just delivered yourself to my door,” Tu Ran said with a smile that didn’t reach her eyes.

Xie Zhao’s face returned to the familiar smile that Tu Ran had seen many times before. His hand, which hung by his side, twitched slightly, hoping to catch Tu Ran off guard and use [Ability Seal] to disable her [Annihilation]. Without her [Annihilation] to block him, his [Space Cutting] would be able to cut her in half.

However, just as he silently recited [Ability Seal] in his mind…

Tu Ran retracted [Annihilation].

[Ability Seal] could only work when the opponent was using their powers.

His attempt was nothing more than a waste of his remaining strength.

As soon as Tu Ran withdrew her ability, she quickly crouched down. [Space Cutting] grazed the top of her head, and with a swift sweep of her leg, Xie Zhao was caught off guard and tripped to the ground.

He quickly scrambled to get up, but Tu Ran didn’t give him any time to react. With a swift motion, she retrieved a laser gun from her space and aimed it at him, pressing the button.
