Chapter 252 – Juices Splattering
Finally, just before the guard ran out of strength, at the moment when the alien’s palm was about to strike his head, time was up!
The guard immediately squeezed out through the gap between the two iron fences.
The alien’s violent palm slammed into the iron bars behind him; the force knocked him to the ground. He lay there, his heart pounding in his throat, unable to calm down for a long time.
“Congratulations, young man,” Pang Shixi personally stepped forward to help him up, patting his shoulder. “Having young people like you is an honor for the future of our Federation!”
In the guard’s mind, there was only one word: “Money.”
“Haha, the money has already been transferred to your account.”
A victorious smile finally appeared on the guard’s face. Taking his equipment, he quietly walked back to his post.
“I really didn’t expect Tu Youxiang to be so capable. I thought he was going to die for that 300,000,” Qi Tongda remarked through the earpiece.
Ye Qingcai sighed, “His mother needs another heart transplant.”
Below, the beast fight continued.
With the successful example of earning 300,000 in ten minutes, many people were itching to try.
Pang Shixi also realized that lasting ten minutes inside wasn’t difficult enough, so he increased the challenge to staying fifteen minutes for 300,000.
An extra five minutes couldn’t deter those who had already made up their minds.
Their minds were filled with money; they completely ignored that Tu Youxiang had reached his physical limit in the last minute. Had he stayed even thirty more seconds, he might not have made it out.
The next guard chose the long knife that Tu Youxiang had used.
He weighed the knife in his hand, stood confidently at the doorway, loosened his wrists, ankles, and neck. As the door automatically opened, he dashed inside.
With the experience of the last time its prey escaped, the alien had grown smarter. It no longer lunged with all its strength every time, as that would waste energy without catching the prey. Instead, it began to observe, holding back some force with each attack, allowing it to quickly change direction if needed.
The newly entered guard’s stamina was gradually being drained, his movements becoming slow and sluggish, yet only half the time had passed.
Tu Ran stood on the third floor, where she had a clear view of the battle inside the iron cage. Due to the alien’s massive size, her view was even better than that of the wealthy spectators on the first floor.
“Sister Tu Ran, do you think he’ll survive?” Xiao Miao asked nervously.
Because they were in the same communication group, everyone else could hear the conversation between Xiao Miao and Tu Ran.
“I don’t know,” Tu Ran replied bluntly, her eyes never leaving the iron cage.
Qi Tongda interjected, “Aren’t you a pioneer? You’ve fought with aliens. Can’t you even tell that?”
Tu Ran pursed her lips and said, “If he comes out of the cage now, he can survive. If not, I’m afraid… he won’t have another chance.”
After a pause, she added, “The alien is deliberately wearing him down.”
Young Master Qi was skeptical. “Aliens aren’t that smart. If it was really that smart, it wouldn’t have kept charging earlier and let Tu Youxiang slip away.”
“They’re evolving too,” Tu Ran replied calmly.
The guard inside the iron cage couldn’t hear their conversation, and even if he could, he wouldn’t give up the 300,000 Federation credits that were so close.
Six minutes. Just six more minutes.
Only six minutes.
His hope ended in the tenth minute.
The alien’s sharp fangs pierced through his abdomen. Before he even had time to feel the fear of death, the alien flung him into the air. As his body touched the top of the cage, the alien leaped up and swallowed the upper half of his body.
As it chewed, the sound of a human’s desperate screams came from its mouth.
The screams quickly ceased, leaving only the crunching sound of bones being shattered. Blood-red juices flowed from the corners of its ugly mouth, dripping down its thick neck onto the ground of the iron cage.
One bite for the upper body, one bite for the lower body.
In just two bites, a once-living person had been consumed by it.
This small amount of flesh did nothing to ease its hunger. It opened its mouth wide again and roared at Pang Shixi, as if to say, “Bring me more; I’m still not full.”
In reality, that was exactly what it was saying.
Xiao Miao and Qi Tongda, who witnessed the bloody scene, were left speechless.
They had seen dead bodies before and had dealt with many cases involving dismemberment.
But witnessing a living person being chewed and eaten by an alien was a sight they had never encountered.
The feeling was akin to watching one of their own being devoured by a giant pig.
“Next!” Pang Shixi’s voice was like a devil’s whisper, piercing the eardrums of all the guards present.
No one stepped forward.
Even the guard who had previously thought about earning 300,000 hesitated.
For the wealthy spectators who had yet to see enough action, the lack of volunteers was not what they wanted to witness.
“Five hundred thousand! Ten minutes!” someone shouted.
Another guard wavered.
Five hundred thousand.
Ten minutes!
The first two guards had both lasted ten minutes.
“I will!” another guard stepped forward.
“Crazy, crazy, these people are insane!” Young Master Qi couldn’t help but exclaim. “They’re charging in even after someone has died! They care more about money than their lives!”
“You’re a young master; this money certainly isn’t enough to catch your eye.” After a long silence, Zhou Ming suddenly spoke up. Five hundred thousand was not a small sum for him either, and he felt a flicker of temptation. However, he had a clear understanding of his own abilities; aside from his sharpshooting skills, everything else was subpar.
“But you still need your life to spend it!” Young Master Qi retorted angrily. He looked over at Tu Ran, who was about twenty meters away from him, and reminded her with concern, “Even though you’re poor, don’t rush in just for this money. I don’t want to see you covered in blood and guts.”
Tu Ran raised an eyebrow in disbelief: “Covered in blood and guts? What kind of perverse description is that?”
During their conversation, the guard inside the cage was eliminated.
The alien slammed its palm into his abdomen, like a fly hitting another fly, instantly sending his internal organs flying and juices splattering everywhere.
The gaps between the iron bars were wide, and blood mixed with the yellow, unknown fluid from his organs splattered all around. The “God” statue hanging from the ceiling of the grand hall was not spared; filthy substances clung to its silver body, transforming its previously disdainful gaze into one filled with disgust.
Fortunately, the wealthy spectators were sitting far enough away to avoid being splattered.
This time, the guards were completely disheartened.
“Seventy thousand, ten minutes.”
“Ninety thousand! Last for ten minutes!”
“One hundred thousand Federation credits! Ten minutes!”
“…”
No matter how tempting the conditions proposed by the wealthy were, not a single guard stepped forward.
The alien inside the iron cage continued to roar at Pang Shixi, saliva mixed with human remains splattering onto him, prompting him to take a step back.
The wealthy spectators were getting excited, but no guards were willing to step up. This was not what Pang Shixi wanted to see.
Suddenly, he pointed at Tu Ran, who was standing on the third floor.
