Chapter 111 – Emergency Situation
Tu Ran quickly walked toward the room where the doctors were staying.
She raised her hand, ready to knock on the door.
A face was already pressed against the glass window of the door.
The eyes were darting around, looking for something.
Tu Ran found the face in front of her somewhat familiar.
Blonde curly hair, gold-rimmed glasses.
It seemed to be one of the interns she had met in the elevator before.
Meng Fancheng had come so close to see if the pioneer had arrived.
The death of his companion had left a shadow over him.
He had to stay under the pioneer’s nose to have a better chance of surviving.
Suddenly seeing Pioneer Tu Ran, Meng Fancheng’s eyes widened.
It was his goddess.
He immediately opened the door from the inside.
“Tu Ran—” He realized that directly calling Tu Ran by her full name was a bit impolite, so he paused for a moment and added, “Sister!”
He knew her name, which didn’t surprise Tu Ran.
Her name tag on her chest clearly displayed her name.
When this group of people had talked about her in the elevator, someone might have noticed her name tag as she left.
Tu Ran glanced at the medicine box he was carrying and slightly nodded, “Let’s go.”
Tu Ran escorted him to room 403.
The other rooms were temporarily left to the three guards.
Meng Fancheng carried a box of medical supplies to bed number three, first lifting the quilt covering the patient to allow ventilation.
Tu Ran saw that there were a dozen wires extending from the patient’s left chest area, connecting to the computer equipment nearby.
At this moment, the patient’s face was blue, clutching his heart, and breathing heavily with his head tilted back.
Meng Fancheng first gave him oxygen.
Then he stood in front of the instrument and began manipulating various buttons, adjusting different settings.
Meng Fancheng’s movements were quick, making Tu Ran dizzy, so she simply stopped watching and observed the changes in the person on the bed.
His body gradually relaxed, he no longer strained his neck to breathe heavily, his hand covering his heart fell, his breathing became even, and his expression became peaceful.
Tu Ran glanced at his heart rate on the monitor, which was now 62 beats per minute, back to normal.
Meng Fancheng checked the patient’s vital signs, making sure nothing was missed, then covered the patient with the quilt up to his chest and quickly packed up his tools.
“Sister Tu Ran, let’s go,” he said.
He didn’t want to stay here.
He wanted to return to their room quickly.
He was very worried that someone might mutate now.
Tu Ran nodded, stepped aside to let him go out first, and then followed him.
They left the ward and closed the door.
Zero’s voice sounded again: “Ding, bed 1 in room 406 has an abnormal body temperature, respiratory failure! Bed 1 in room 406 has an abnormal body temperature, respiratory failure! Immediate treatment is needed, immediate treatment is needed!”
Meng Fancheng’s face fell as he was about to return to the room.
Why was he so unlucky?
Why did so many patients have problems whenever it was his shift?
“Let’s go,” Tu Ran reminded him.
Reluctantly, Meng Fancheng started walking toward room 406.
Room 406 was where there had been a mutation before, with the patient biting the patient in the neighboring bed, and Ding Naiqing had shot and killed two people.
Now, there was only one patient in the room.
Tu Ran led the way, with Meng Fancheng following behind her.
At bed 1, Tu Ran stopped.
Meng Fancheng stepped forward and placed the medicine box on the cabinet beside the bed.
The person lying in the bed looked just as Tu Ran had seen through the glass earlier, with the quilt wrapped tightly around themselves.
