The Ring

Chapter 83 – The Ring

Ding Naiqing didn’t expect his words to attract such a formidable opponent for Tu Ran. He quickly stood up and blocked her, saying, “If you want to fight, fight me first. If you beat me, then you can challenge Sister Ran.”

The man rudely shoved him aside, “Get out of the way.”

Ding Naiqing was furious and tried to argue, but Tu Ran grabbed his arm to stop him.

“Don’t worry. Your Sister Ran can handle this. You should step down,” Tu Ran reassured him.

Ding Naiqing still didn’t want to leave Tu Ran alone up there.

The man was so burly, and Sister Ran was much smaller. The difference in strength was too great.

This man held a grudge against Sister Ran. What if she got hurt? What if her arm got broken and she had to get a mechanical prosthesis?

It was all his fault. If Sister Ran got injured because of him, he wouldn’t be able to forgive himself.

“Why are you still here? If you don’t get down, I’ll beat you too!” Lu Huaiwei’s rough voice boomed as he cracked his knuckles.

“I’m not getting down! I’m staying!” Ding Naiqing decided to be shameless and stay by Sister Ran’s side.

Tu Ran, amused and exasperated, had to find another way. She whispered in his ear, “If it looks like I’m about to lose, I’ll call you. Then we’ll fight him together, alright?”

Ding Naiqing’s eyes lit up, “Alright, Sister Ran, remember to call me.”

“Got it,” Tu Ran smiled and sent him down.

Ding Naiqing stood in the front row below the ring, ready to jump in and help Tu Ran fight Lu Huaiwei.

“Come on, I want to see how tough the woman who dared to disgrace our Executive Department really is,” Lu Huaiwei said.

It turned out he wasn’t just avenging Zhou Ming, but aiming to restore the Executive Department’s honor.

This put things in a different perspective.

Tu Ran found him much more agreeable now.

“Then I won’t hold back,” she said.

Before the words were out, Tu Ran had already swept her leg horizontally towards him.

Lu Huaiwei immediately reacted, grabbing her sweeping leg.

“Is this all you’ve got?” Lu Huaiwei sneered.

Tu Ran smirked, “Not a chance.”

Xie Xu had taught her many moves that she hadn’t used yet.

Using her captured leg as a pivot, Tu Ran flipped in midair, bending her other knee and aiming her kneecap at the back of his neck.

Lu Huaiwei instantly released her pivot leg and quickly retreated.

Tu Ran didn’t fall but instead, like a morning glory vine clinging to a tree, she swung around him in a 180-degree rotation, her knees clamping around his neck as she twisted his head with her strength.

Lu Huaiwei, losing his balance, fell backward onto the ring.

Tu Ran also fell, landing on the ropes at the edge of the ring.

A wave of cheers and applause erupted from the audience below.

Unfazed, Tu Ran used the ropes’ elasticity to spring forward, her long legs hooking around the neck of Lu Huaiwei, who was struggling to sit up, pressing him face down on the ring again.

With his neck clamped, Lu Huaiwei’s face turned red as he was unable to move his upper body. He tried to grab Tu Ran with his free hand, but she quickly twisted his extended arm in the opposite direction.

A “crack” sounded—the noise of a bone breaking.

Lu Huaiwei let out a howl of pain.

The crowd watching below fell silent, barely daring to breathe.

Lu Huaiwei was completely pinned under Tu Ran, unable to resist.

“Do you concede?” Tu Ran asked coldly.

Lu Huaiwei remained silent.
