Dad Kidnapped the Obsessive Maniac

Episode 37

“It’s because of Yvonne.”

As Yurian spoke to Yvonne as if reprimanding her, she responded in a nonchalant manner.

“Yes, okay.”

Then, she laid out the items she had brought on Yurian’s bed.

“Come here.”

It seemed strange to him that Yvonne was so familiar with going to his bed. He had hoped to see the purple eyes as soon as he opened his eyes. But the longing he had was nowhere to be found.

“Yvonne.”

“Yes.”

Yurian sat very close to her and looked at her.

“Take a look at this. It seems like we can’t go to the place we were planning to go last time.”

“…”

“Kes checked it out, and it seems to be blocked.”

“Yvonne.”

“Yes.”

“Don’t call another man’s nickname in front of me.”

He said sharply, glaring at Yvonne. Yvonne thought she should be careful, perhaps because she knew Yurian disliked Marquis. The restraint collar around Yurian’s neck was glowing red.

Yvonne sighed quietly and gently pressed the button behind the restraint collar.

“I told you not to use your abilities.”

“…Yes.”

His crimson eyes seemed to contain resentment, making Yvonne uncomfortable facing Yurian.

“You heard me, right?”

“Yes. So, the passage is now blocked.”

“Yes. So, Kes, I mean Rohan’s attendant, will help us.”

“…”

“Father is bringing forward the date of his diplomatic visit, so we might leave earlier than expected.”

Yurian seemed somewhat desperate. He couldn’t imagine a life trapped here. Somehow, he felt like Yvonne wouldn’t take care of him as she did now if they left this place. That’s why he didn’t want to leave.

But if he said that out loud, she probably wouldn’t worry about him as she does now.

He thought about it and kept his mouth shut.

“What will happen to us if we leave?”

Yurian deliberately included the princess and himself as ‘us’. But Yvonne, insensitive to such things, responded dryly.

“Yurian will return to being a duke.”

“And what about Yvonne?”

“I’ll manage on my own.”

“Where will you go?”

“Somewhere.”

He reached out towards Yvonne’s cheek, but she gently raised her hand to stop him. Yurian then grabbed her hand tightly and pushed Yvonne onto the bed.

“The paper is wrinkled.”

“Just straighten it.”

Because of Yurian, Yvonne felt the map she had carefully brought being placed beneath her and getting wrinkled. Somehow, she reached out her arm towards Yurian’s neck, where, unbeknownst to her, he was using his abilities again. Yurian seemed like he might forgive her if she caressed him. However, this time, he didn’t reciprocate the touch, only pressing the button behind his neck and then letting go.

He then grabbed her other hand, holding it firmly with his fingers and pressing hard with his thumb.

“Yurian.”

“Call me more.”

“Snap out of it.”

“I’m already snapped.”

“Then why do you keep using your abilities?”

“Because of Yvonne… Because Yvonne makes me.”

She thought Yurian seemed bolder than before, but when she looked into his eyes, she didn’t want to say anything mean.

His jet-black hair and eyes sparkling like beautiful rubies. Despite being trapped in such a shabby place, he had perfect beauty that never faded. Even though his eyes seemed to stare at her intensely, as if longing, Yvonne might have enjoyed Yurian’s behavior.

But now, he was the most dangerous person who had killed the original Princess Yvonne and aimed for her life.

“If you let go of my hand, I’ll caress you.”

Then Yurian released her hand.

“This side too.”

He let go of both hands and looked at Yvonne, trapping her under his arm. If he didn’t touch her properly this time, he wouldn’t hold back. Perhaps reading his thoughts, Yvonne placed her hand on his cheek and shoulder, gently caressing him.

The magical power, mixed and clouded when their skins touched, was being purified. Yurian also vaguely knew about her ability. He just didn’t intend to tell Yvonne about it. If he did, he might make a pact with that damn attendant and the broker.

He would continue to wait for her to awaken as an esper if he still believed in her being one. Besides, there was the attendant interfering with their leaving the palace.

Marquis Rohan.

Wouldn’t it be wise to leave here with him?

“If we leave from here, let’s go together to the duke’s residence.”

“Why?”

“I’ll help Yvonne to live well. She might need stabilizers, right?”

“Okay. We didn’t have anywhere else to go anyway.”

Yvonne answered obediently. But it was a lie. She had no intention of staying in the same mansion with Yurian, who had killed her in the original story. It carried a level of danger similar to living with Hildebrandt.

Moreover, if they disappeared from this annoying palace, Yurian and Hildebrandt would probably pursue each other as they did in the original story.

Then, even if she left her life as it was now, she might give it as a gift to Hildebrandt.

“Do you promise?”

“Of course.”

“Are you really going to stay with me?”

“Yes. Since we have nowhere else to go.”

Yurian smiled broadly at her words. Whether he was genuinely happy or not, the flickering light of the restraint collar was now completely off.

“That damn man…”

“Marquis will stay here.”

“I see.”

Yurian smiled even more beautifully at her words and kissed Yvonne’s hand. He seemed very satisfied.

She felt a twinge of guilt seeing him so pleased. But what of it? Nothing was more precious than her life. What harm was a little lie?

With her arrogant thoughts, Yvonne treated Yurian affectionately, unaware of what consequences her actions might bring in the future.

“Yurian.”

“Yes.”

“I wore comfortable clothes today.”

“Really?”

Yurian couldn’t help but smile at her words. Then, he shyly smiled at Yvonne.

She was momentarily perplexed by why he was so happy and why his eyes seemed to be getting moist. But then she thought he was happy because making a pact meant they could leave soon. So, she smiled back at him.

Yurian, his lips nibbled, with moistened eyes, said to her, “I didn’t expect Yvonne to make such a big decision.”

“The big decision is yours to make, Yurian.”

She felt relieved that Yurian humbly spoke, thinking that things might work out easier this way.

“I’ll do well.”

“Okay.”

“I’ll make sure Yvonne doesn’t regret it.”

“…Okay.”

As she listened to him, Yvonne felt something was off. She had nothing to regret. Making a pact, sacrificing her ability, would only be unreasonable to Yurian.

So, what did he mean by making sure she didn’t regret it?

Was he talking about leaving this place?

With that in mind, Yvonne gently caressed Yurian’s cheek. It was a firm facial muscle, but it had smooth skin like marble. His jet-black hair suited him well, and his thick eyelashes were perfect.

And those eyes shimmering beneath were so beautiful. Perhaps because they were moist, they seemed even more beautiful.

Curious about the marks she might leave on his neck, Yvonne brushed her fingertips over it. Then he began to accept her touch, becoming more obedient.

“Yvonne.”

“Yes.”

“Will you undress me?”

“Sure.”

To make a pact by sacrificing their abilities, they had to kiss directly above each other’s hearts. So, if Yurian removed his top, it would be more comfortable. However, Yvonne only intended to undress him to the extent of his shirt.

Moreover, she must not be caught by Hildebrandt about the pact. If one of them died, the pact would disappear. If her heart, where the mark of Yurian’s pact with someone else, was drawn like a toy, the Emperor would never forgive her.

That’s why Yvonne wanted to make the pact at this point, with less than a week left.

At Yurian’s urging, as if asking her to look at him, Yvonne sighed softly and smiled. Then, she slowly began to undress him, unbuttoning the firmly fastened shirt buttons and trying hard not to look at his face.

Observing how eager Yurian looked, Yvonne couldn’t help but think he was acting strangely. Meanwhile, Yurian was under the misconception that the pact she mentioned was something else.

A pact of abilities exchanged by kissing above the heart.

But that was something they could do even if they only removed a bit of clothing.

However, she had said she wore easy-to-remove clothes.

That meant it was about sharing love, a pact of companionship.

Yurian thought so.

“Yvonne, I’ll really try my best.”

He said so, overcoming his embarrassment, with a trembling voice filled with sincerity.
