“How ugly, Archduke.”
Leone laughed.
“Is it ugly? Ugly? Ha ha ha. Prince. Prince!”
“Are you going crazy?”
“You! What are you going to say after chasing this place because you couldn’t even keep a woman of your own?”
The Archduke responded to Leone’s words and laughed louder. And Leone suppressed his anger at those words. It would be Leone’s loss if, after engaging in a war of nerves like this, his anger soared and he engaged in hand-to-hand combat. There were too many people to deal with.
“…okay. Then, do you want me to write a certificate?”
The Archduke was satisfied with Leone’s voice, as if he understood the situation. He arrogantly crossed his legs. He stretched his body all the way back, creating a relaxed look.
“Doesn’t that sound like treason? I’m getting my rightful place back.”
The Archduke chatted happily. Leone counted the time. Had Adler arrived? His mobility was considerable. Maybe he’s dragging it now.
“I hate pictures like that. So you yourself… I would appreciate it if you could make a picture and give it to me as a gift. Beast Prince, I like that picture the most, but… An immature runaway prince, nothing like that is bad. Since your mother has a track record, everyone will try hard to point fingers.”
“…”
“Ah. You said that the girl was the benefactor who made you human, right? What about the beast prince who ran away after biting his benefactor? It would be okay if you actually bite and kill her.”
Leone was just trying to pass the time by making fun of it. It was a little difficult because he was annoyed by the nonsense coming out of the Archduke’s mouth and had to put up with wanting to hit him.
“However. It’s strange, prince…”
Leone’s acting was pretty good. He suited the situation he had created. The anger that surfaced, the attitude of resignation to listen to the Archduke’s demands. Even so, Leone’s face was a face the Archduke liked so much. He might be mad with anger, but he couldn’t see the sense of defeat coming from the reality that he couldn’t dare to attack.
“You’re so calm.”
“…What do you mean?”
“How can you be so calm?”
Leone’s heart sank at the words like an awl.
“What is the number?”
“What number do you mean? Whatever you want, you can do it.”
“You’re not going to tell me… Yes, yes.”
The Archduke raised his hand. The soldiers standing behind Leone moved in perfect order. Soon Leone was kneeling on the floor. This was what he expected. It was fine. Even though he was unable to move under the weight of his sturdy men, Leone was not taken aback.
“If you can, it’s better not to be arrogant and relaxed. Reaper, come out.”
A short woman wearing a red hood walked out from behind the Archduke. She was Ripper
“Hold the prince straight. So that the Ripper can do its job properly.”
“Yes.”
Leone already had a record of killing an assassin unit. The Archduke was vigilant and sent several more sturdy soldiers to suppress Leone.
“…This isn’t something I enjoy. I like seeing precious people face to face, strangling each other, tearing flesh. Do you know how strong a human under hypnosis is? I’m really curious about that guy’s strength…”
The woman who stepped forward muttered disgruntledly. The Archduke was not angry at the complaint, but smiled and comforted him. The Archduke’s demeanor was unbelievably kind.
“As long as you help me with this, I will help you do what you really want. huh? Not only that, but I’ll give you enough compensation.”
“Huh.”
Ripper took off her hood. She had a plain face, she was a woman without any features. Even if he saw her face and talked for more than a few hours, he wouldn’t remember it if he met her again.
“A very handsome brother. Do you promise to die to me later?”
She said nonsense in a charming voice and sat down in front of Leone. Ripper pulled a small box out of her hood pocket, and as soon as it was opened it gave off a strange grassy smell. It’s like a hazy feeling. Leone had smelled it before.
‘…sedative?’
Ripper brought her box up to Leone’s nose and twirled it around as if trying to spread the incense. What was in the box was some of the herbs in the sedative that Leone was taking, but it was a very small amount. Rebellion was hard to hypnotize. So she only used it enough that her opponent drained her energy. If the amount was too much, it would fall asleep, so only a small amount was used. She would usually sit back and concentrate on the Reaper’s voice and gestures as she inhaled this scent. It was a herb that was rarely used by small women like Beatrice Giuseppe, but a man of this size would use it out of fear. In a word, it could be said that it was a tool used to easily hypnotize the Reaper while reducing the threat to himself.
“What…?”
“What are you doing?”
But Leone’s mind was intact. He couldn’t understand what she was doing. After all, he was Leone, who was given a sedative so strong that she fell asleep straight away in the Meto Mountains. He had developed a tolerance for prolonged exposure to sedatives, so he had no choice but to tolerate very little herbs.
“Why-why, are you fine?”
Ripper was slightly taken aback. Leone widened his eyes and looked at Reaper. Rather, the strength of the soldiers who smelled it slipped a little, and the restraints on Leone loosened.
“Hmm. Well then, here.”
Ripper calmed down as best she could. Yes, he was chained anyway, so would it be that dangerous? They said he had killed all that many assassins, but right now, several strong men were crushing him. Hypnosis was possible without herbs. She was a pro, so she quickly calmed down and focused.
“Calm down, hold on tight to the prince.”
Ripper, closing the road box, cast her eyes at the soldiers who were about to stretch out. The soldiers who captured her spirit again held on to Leone. Ripper gripped Leone by the back of the back. She fixed her gaze on his and met his eyes directly.
“5, 4, 3, 2, 1.”
And she counted slowly. Ripper was a genius hypnotist. From the moment he first learned to hypnotize, anyone who made eye contact with Reaper fell into a trance and couldn’t escape it. Since hypnosis only takes place when the subject is in the most comfortable state, ordinary hypnotists have to go through the process of getting the subject to relax. But Ripper’s eyes were special, and if any person made eye contact with her, they’d instantly become extremely comfortable. So most of the people stared straight at her Ripper, idly hypnotized and killing each other. So she had to go through it this time too.
Ripper counted and carefully took out her pocket watch and held it to Leone’s ear. She made a steady, knock, knock, knock, grip on his shoulder. Tense and focused, at the same time a constant beat sound. Ripper’s eyes. It was a hypnotic technique that was difficult for ordinary people to escape. It had to be. But this man, the more she met his eyes, the more she was hypnotized, and instead made a threatening face. As if the Ripper had a fight.
“So, what are you doing? Are you threatening me now?”
In the world of beasts, lowering your body but not lowering your head and making direct eye contact is an obvious provocation and a constant cycle of noise. He didn’t know if people would find it safe, but to Leone, who has an overly good hearing, it was just a noise that irritated his nerves. Leone was already someone who couldn’t feel comfortable in all of these elements. If it wasn’t for Trixie, the more he was stared at by others, the more irritating and hunting instincts boiled over in him. It is said that in human society, eye contact is also a sign of goodwill, but he has been living as a prince and has been working hard to suppress his instincts. Now that this woman was firmly arguing over him, he became even more heated. Leone revealed this without even knowing it.
“Hypnosis… It doesn’t work.”
“Hypnosis. You… you. Like this. Did you take Trixie?”
Leone’s voice hit Ripper. The sense of intimidation rising from the anger was considerable. Even though he knew he couldn’t move because several men were pressing him down, Ripper felt a visceral fear and sprinted back.
“What?”
“Weird. It usually takes a while to do it lightly, but even if you go deep. Just… Anger, the instinct to hunt, that’s all.”
The Archduke listened to Ripper’s words and clicked his tongue.
“Is this a beast baby?”
He hypnotized him to find out what Leone was hiding, and after making him write a will, he decided where to put it. The Archduke was acting more leisurely because of the Ripper. But the Ripper method didn’t work. He was so irritated that he was about to slap Ripper on the cheek, but the Archduke held it in. Because there were still things left to use.
“Whoa. It’s okay. Just bring it.”
The Archduke ordered in a hoarse voice, and a soldier moved. Leone knew right away what was happening. It was a familiar scent. A body odor that made you feel like you would cry because you miss it. The smell of someone you will never forget until the moment you die.
“Trixie, ha…”
He was out of breath. The one he loved stood where Leone shook his body and turned his head.
“Trixie. Trixie.”
Leone instinctively moved his body. The strength of her men weighed on Leone. Leone, unable to move, continued to drag his body toward him. The force was so strong that the men clinging to it as a group were dragged away little by little.
“Trixie, can you see me?”
Leone’s heart sank.
‘Hypnosis.’
His love stood looking down on him with empty eyes. And her hands move slowly.
“Ahhh, no.”
She started choking herself. Every knuckle in her small, skinny hands swelled with her strength. Leone held out her hand.
“Prince, are you thinking of talking?”
The Archduke began to laugh and lean back as the mansion left. At the same time, Leone cried out. The anger that had been suppressed for a long time rose up, and the human ties were severed. Leone scratched and bit off the arm of the woman who was intimidating him. Truly like a beast. He jumped on all fours and howled.
