Crowning My Feral Prince

CHAPTER 123

Standing in silence, Leone stared out the window in dismay. The always beautiful front yard of the Imperial Palace looked cool today. The preparations are almost over. He was waiting for the late night, the midnight hour when there would be no witnesses.

“Adler.”

“Yes, Lord Leone.”

“If you weren’t there from the start, the spy would be suspicious. Let’s start together, but get out of the side while frantically running. So, go to the secret villa on the outskirts and bring the northerners.”

“Yes, Leone. Don’t worry. We will move as quickly as possible. Please believe me.”

“…okay.”

He believed it, but he kept checking it again and again. Leone’s heart thumped and thumped. His frantic performance was well done, so the Archduke wouldn’t hide away or come up with another plan. As expected, the prince’s patience reached its limit, and he went crazy. He would think so. Leone was sure. It wasn’t just vague certainty. Guards were attached to all the doors of the Archduke’s residence. There was no communication, and the Archduke did not move. On the other side, leisurely, he waits for Leone, whose head had turned, to come. It was a time of war he had inevitably reached. Leone left the palace wearing clothes that were easy to move in. He had been urged by Adler to wear armor several times, but he seemed to have a hard time fighting if he wore something heavy.

“Depart.”

Just before dawn, Leone left the palace. Explaining to the troops of the Marquis of the West was reluctant because of confidentiality, and it was not courtesy to them who came rushing in without explaining. For now, the army of the west was left to continue the search, and only the Guards and Imperial Knights were gathered. The soldiers who were brought back from the search looked a little embarrassed when they heard that they were going to the Archducal residence. There was a spy, so he couldn’t tell them in advance.

“We, tonight. I am going to stop the rebellion of the Grand Duke.”

“Huup…!”

No matter how crazy they were about women, how desperate they were, in the end, their master was Leone. Besides, it had been an open fact for a long time that the Archduke was aiming for the imperial family, so the soldiers soon erased their surprise. Because it was going to happen someday. No one rebelled and quietly followed Leone. Leone, his knight commander, and the captain of the guard stood in the lead on horseback. Adler stood at the rear. Soon, the hooves of Leone’s horse kicked off the ground. The soldiers followed the lord. As soon as he exited the gate, Leone turned his head to check behind him. As he had ordered in advance, Adler was naturally moving away.

He entered the city and was a short distance away from the Archduke’s residence. The closer to the imperial castle, the more expensive the house, but the Archduke, like a man who likes to brag about his money, bought the most expensive piece of land and built a huge mansion. That’s how he quickly reached the grand duke’s residence. As expected, the door was open. Although the garden was large, it seemed that the mansion would be within reach. No one was seen yet.

‘There’s no way there’s no one there.’

Leone took a deep breath. He already had so many soldiers of his own that it would make his head hurt to feel their presence, but he decided to weigh them anyway. Countless numbers of people. Busy footsteps. Coming, smells. And a very faint smell of gunpowder. If you look at something that is quite far away, is it out of reach? There was no sign of shooting yet.

‘I’ll play with fire if I step in here a little longer, that’s-.’

Gunpowder weapons were filthy, expensive and hard to find. It’s really money, money, money from start to finish. Besides, he heard that gunpowder weapons are very noisy. If he used it in a place like this, the entire capital would wake up. It seemed that he was going crazy, wanting to spread rumors that the prince had invaded the Archduke’s residence and threatened him. Leone stood there and called the captain of the guard. The guard captain approached and bowed his head.

“Divide the guards into three groups. One is the west entrance of the mansion, one is that huge garden tree, and the rest stay with me for a while. Arrest those with gunpowder weapons as soon as you find them.”

“Fire, gunpowder weapon…! Yes, yes.”

The captain of the guard, not feeling the presence, let alone the smell of gunpowder, hurriedly turned around. Still, he was not an idiot, so he quickly and well distributed the number of people and scattered them. Soon, not far away, the sound of the troops just sent and other personnel colliding was faintly heard.

“And captain, captain.”

“Yes, Your Highness…”

“Stand by.”

As soon as the personnel were dispersed, Leone kicked off the ground and started running. No one expected Leone to run, and his speed was unmatched. However, he probably thought that there was nothing he could do alone, so the numerous people in hiding did not move. Fighting, the first hit was essential. Engraving that truth, Leone jumped up and attacked the Archduke’s privates who were hiding behind the nearest bush.

“Nice… well done!”

It was a small platoon of about six people. It was Leone who had eliminated five highly trained assassins in an instant, so six amateur soldiers who were flustered were in an instant. Without leaving even a dying word, the lives of the soldiers were fading away. Leone moved without stopping. The soldiers, who had been hiding without moving as he commanded, caught their breaths in surprise when they met Leone’s eyes as he turned his head over the bushes.

“Now, wait…!”

Eyes filled with murderous intent to find even the smallest sign of impossibility. Leone, the owner of those pupils, was right in front of him before anyone could even be surprised. Leone moved that fast. Soon, the soldiers who had been hiding and waiting for the imperial troops to rush in began shouting and popping out here and there. He seemed to realize that even if he stayed hidden, he would be defeated by Leone.

“It is a monster. It’s a beast!”

“Come on all together!”

If confusion was sown like this, there would be fewer useless surprise attacks and attacks on the imperial palace.

“Big, cannon platoon, there! I found it and tied it up!”

Just then, one of the troops heading to the location Leone had designated sent a message of victory. The other side seemed to be still fighting. He might lose on that side, but… However, there was no time to waste here. Because he had to find out the situation inside the mansion before Adler came. After Leone broke the neck of the soldier he had just captured, he said plainly.

“Captain, captain. Leave it here.”

“Yes… to!”

It was an unbelievable feat. The commander of the knights and the captain of the guard held their swords, thinking that their master might have been a great assassin. Looking at the soldiers just attacked by Leone, it seemed like they were weak, but they didn’t seem to be amateurs at all. Opponent soldiers aligned their ranks with Leone on alert.

Leone’s army was significantly undernumbered by his opponents. To know that the Imperial family members were not elite soldiers, yet to prepare so many. It seemed that the Archduke also did not want to lose. Still, the imperial knights and the capital guards were fighting well. The opponent wasn’t good, and Leone solved the surprise attack, so I just had to hold out until the northern army came. What’s important was inside. Leone had to show his nervousness until the end, risking his life and death to break through these people and enter the mansion. He had to go alone from now on. However, it was impossible to enter through the main gate of the mansion. There would be a lot of people attacking Leone, who would find it difficult to deal with. The troops inside must be much better than the soldiers outside, and it seemed that the number of people was not small. So Leone chose the easy way.

He didn’t exactly know the Archduke’s room, but hey.

“It’s faster from the top than from the bottom.”

He picked the nearest tree from the mansion and jumped up in an instant. He climbed the tree and stood on the roof. Then he broke a window right under the roof and went inside. It was incredibly flexible and quick movement. As expected by Leone, there were no people on the top floor. Where was the Archduke’s room? Leone thought and thought. And he tried to chase away the most repulsive odors, constantly swallowing the body odors of others that remained faint. In the middle, soldiers attacked, the smell of blood became thick, and it became increasingly difficult to find.

“It’s been a while, Your Highness.”

As soon as the door opened, he heard a voice he didn’t want to hear. The shadowy soldiers who followed Leone stood behind Leone, and there were a lot of people covering the Archduke who was sitting on a chair.

“Why is a precious person like you so alone?”

He seemed to be conceited and said, ‘Everything went the way I wanted,’ as he smiled contentedly and sarcastically. Leone laughed.

“I’m not very afraid, Archduke. I came alone- do I need that many troops?”

“Being scared is not necessarily a bad thing. I’m good at contrasting. For example, making sure to protect loved ones from being stolen.”

The Archduke looked like he was dying of fun. As soon as something hinted at Trixie’s situation, Leone’s composure began to fluctuate.

“Where is she?”

“Your question is wrong, majesty. Not where she is. The first step is to ask what I want.”

“…what do you want?”

He just needed to wait until the Northerners came, just wait until then and make sure that Trixie wasn’t here right now. Even so, with anger, his heart felt like it would explode.

“You know well, don’t you?”

“I see, is it yellow? Is it because of this little thing that you’re being so ugly and greedy?”

“This is what it is, Prince.”

The Archduke’s voice fell coldly.

“What I should have, I get back. My throne. Mine. It’s not going to a beast like you, it’s mine!”

The anger of the two men filled the room.
