Despite her busy schedule, Luana tried to make time with Legion. It was the same with Legion. In their spare time, they enjoyed exchanging talents with each other as promised last time. Today was the time to do that.

“Let’s see.”

The ingredients are well prepared. Eggs, vegetables, condiments. As soon as the ingredients were ready, Legion entered the kitchen. Worry soared on his tired face.

“You look tired.”

“A little bit. But no problem.”

In the meantime, Legion wore an apron she had prepared in advance. It was just an ordinary apron, but it felt different when he wore it. Luana wiggled her fingers and sighed with regret.

‘If I had a camera, I could have capture this moment!’

However, in this era, cameras have not yet been invented. A portrait is the only way left, but Luana wasn’t particularly good at drawing. Even if she drew well, it would not be easy.

‘It’s something different when a handsome man wears an apron.’

Luana stood next to Legion with a nod.

“Today we are going to cook eggs. From fried eggs to scrambled eggs. Furthermore, we will try making egg rolls.”

“I’ll do my best.”

“Of course you should!”

Luana smiled and taught him how to crack an egg.

“If you tap it lightly, it cracks, right? If you open this! Ta-da!

She also demonstrated the technique of using eggshells to separate yolks and whites. It was a job that required skillful power control, but a Legion seemed to be able to do it quickly.

Crack

How many eggs has it been? Luana looked perplexed at the egg that was breaking out of his grasp.

“It’s a little difficult.”

Legion said with a puzzled look. ‘You’re so good at embroidery. Why can’t you do this?’ Luana stopped Legion, who was trying to destroy all the remaining eggs and gave him the vegetables.

“Shall we cut the vegetables first?”

Fortunately, he did a good job cutting vegetables. As well as he was good at handling swords, he seemed to be good at using kitchen knives. He finely chopped the colorful vegetables on a chopping board. Orange carrots, white onions, and even green pumpkins. Meanwhile, Luana diligently separated the eggs and poured vegetables into them.

She was going to try scrambled eggs and rolled omelet with this. With a serious expression, Legion sprinkled the seasoning on the eggs on the frying pan and began to move with a delicate touch. In a little while, They finished the wonderful egg dishes! Some of it was crushed and burned, but it was a dish that looked quite appetizing.

“You’re doing well!”

“Are you saying I’m doing well?”

Legion did not seem to be satisfied at this point. He looked down at the frying pan and sighed a little.

“It’s your first time, right? Who will be good from the beginning…”

Luana, who said so far, laughed awkwardly. There was one person who was good, right? Right here!

“You might not do really well, but this is a pass!”

“Is that so? I think I’ll get the hang of it if I try more.”

Legion soon became elated and said so.

When he took off his apron, she realized that time had passed.

“Luana, get ready. It’s dance lessons.”

Luana’s face darkened as soon as she heard those words.

“Do I really need to do that?”

“It’s a must for the social world.”

“All right.”

Luana took off her apron and followed Legion. Still, today, one more person helped so that it might be a little better.

There were times when she thought so.

“You’re like a wooden doll.”

The dance teacher who was dancing with her just now said with a gloomy look.

“I agree.”

“Why can’t you get into the rhythm?”

‘No, you must have learned to dance your whole life to do it right! I’m not good at dancing. It can’t be easy.’

Luana looked down at the floor with the same expression as her teacher.

“Hmm. Would you like to try it with me?”

Legion intervened.

He entered the spot where the dance teacher stepped aside and put his arm on Luana’s waist. And after holding his right hand, he took his starting position. Soon, when the performer waiting in advance played the piano, Legion began to move his body.

Was it because her dance partner is Legion? She seemed to be dancing better than usual. Luana tried hard to keep up with Legion’s lead and paced her feet. Of course, she didn’t forget to pay attention to the position of her hand in the meantime.

After one song ended, the two stopped. Luana asked brightly, sweating.

“Don’t you think it went well this time?”

At those words, her teacher’s expression became miserable. It improved, but she made it possible because the Legion took all the leads. If the opponent changes to another person, it will likely return to its original state.

When I explained it calmly, Luana pouted her lips and said,

“Then don’t I just have to dance with Legion?”

“A lot of things happen in the social world, and sometimes you’ll get requests to dance from people you don’t know. You have to learn it all.”

The teacher was determined.

“That’s all right. I’ll come and help you whenever I have time.”

Legion, who encouraged Luana, left her behind to practice again.

He looked around and went back to the kitchen where he had been. Entering there alone, he took out the paper he had prepared in advance and unfolded it. What was written in it was Way’s cooking recipe. It was a simple way to make soup, but it was very precious to Legion now.

Because he was going to cook for Luana! Suddenly one day, what he always received was on my mind. Vyan’s advice that a love that only gives without any return will get tired someday also played a part. Legion began to move his hand carefully, measuring the time when Luana ended her class.

He also learned to cook separately from Way, so he should be able to finish it in time.

***

Luana thought as she practiced dancing.

‘Is he very busy?’

The former emperor, Raytheon, always looked relaxed, and Legion, who was preparing to ascend the next throne, seemed very busy. Of course, it could have been just the beginning, but seeing him move here and there every day worried her about his health.

‘Isn’t it better if I do something?’

After finishing her dance practice, Luana checked that she had a moment to spare. Then she went straight to the kitchen of the annex. Unlike the kitchen of the main building where they practiced cooking, the annex was neatly organized. There, she thought of a dish to make after organizing the ingredients.

“Let’s make samgyetang*!”

TL/N: Samgyetang is a ginseng chicken soup, a traditional korean dish.

Samgyetang is good for the body and tastes good. She was going to make the meat tender by boiling it down. She thought it was a pity she didn’t have a pressure cooker, but she had no choice but to do her best. First of all, samgyetang was not a difficult dish to make.

First, prepare chicken, herbs, vegetables, and seasonings. Then, trim the fat part of the chicken and wash it clean. After that, fill the chicken with glutinous rice and herbs, then seal it. All she had to do was add the prepared garlic to the soup and boil it with the chicken. She just has to taste it.

“It would be better if there was kimchi.”

She was dragged around and couldn’t try making kimchi. It was such a pity.

Bubble bubble

Watching the heat boiling from the pot, she lowered the heat and removed the floating bubbles and oil. Her appetite suddenly rose when the savory smell began to smell in the kitchen.

‘No, I can’t.’

This is for Legion. She could make her food again later. Luana put the whole pot of samgyetang on a tray and prepared herb salt for dipping.

She also added boiled green onion and soy sauce. If you put green onions on the soft flesh of freshly boiled samgyetang and dip it in red pepper paste, it tastes amazing! It was a taste that those who hadn’t tried it could not describe.

Luana smiled and pushed the tray. Soon after, the maid showed up to help, but she refused. This was because she wanted to hand it directly to Legion. However, she found it difficult to find Legion’s whereabouts.

‘He is not at the office either?’

He was not here either. She maintained the temperature of samgyetang using magic, but she was nervous about the possibility. She needs to find Legion before it gets cold!

Every time she pushed her tray, people’s eyes turned to Luana because of the savory, oily smell emanating from the pot. Whether he knew him or not, Luana went looking for Legion. And finally, she ran into him in a hallway. He was also dragging a tray like Luana.

“What are you doing here?”

When she blinked her eyes and asked, Legion also asked.

“That’s what I want to ask.”

Luana peeped at the tray that Legion was pushing. It seemed like there was a dish under the big round lid.

“Did you cook?”

“Yes.”

“Can I see it?”

“As much as you want.”

The dish was meant to be given to Luana in the first place, so Legion simply stepped back. When the lid was lifted, it was still a warm steaming potato soup.

Simple yet warm and hearty soup. Luana felt a rush of appetite.

“Can I eat it?”

“Of course. It was originally made for you, Luana.”

Luana picked up a spoon and carefully took the soup to her mouth. The taste was a bit lacking, but the soup warmed up the body. She felt like her tired body was energized the whole time.

“Then is this mine?”

“Yes.”

Luana showed the samgyetang to Legion.
