Chapter 9
“It will be okay soon.”
Was it because of the touch of his hand? Or was it the power of his voice? I felt foggy again, my confused mind was gradually becoming clearer.
“Diana.”
“… … .”
Diana blinked. Every time she did that, her thick, long eyelashes would brush past his palm. Everything will be okay. Because he said it was okay. Her lover, now her ex-lover, was a man who brought her more stability than anyone else in the world.
So everything will be okay.
“Edmund… … .”
I felt the hand resting on my forehead tremble slightly.
“Why am I here… I was on my way back home.”
Diana could barely think of anything to say. Her gradually clearer mind made it possible. She wondered why she was lying on his bed and she was being stroked by him.
Of course, even if that were the case, there was nothing dangerous about it. Because he is Edmund. Because he can’t hurt her. Like the night he saved her from danger.
“You said you wanted to come and see it.”
A soft voice rang through my ears. At those words, Diana remembered that the villa that Edmund had mentioned was the old castle he had bought which he mentioned earlier.
“That’s why I brought you here.”
“… … .”
His words were somewhat incoherent, but I couldn’t afford to think clearly because of my pounding head.
“And because this is where you belong.”
“Yes?”
Diana lifted her face from the pillow and looked back at Edmund. Now that my vision has become clearer, I can clearly
see Edmund’s face.
His blonde hair, which was always neatly combed, was scattered over his forehead and was even slightly wet. Just because of that, the atmosphere he gave off was completely different.
“Let’s call it like before.”
“Well, what… … .”
“My Name.”
“Name?”
When Diana’s eyes showed an inexplicable look, the man’s eyes, which had always been generous, became sharp.
“Duke… .”
Diana called out to him softly. I don’t know why, but he seemed angry.
“Well, that’s good.”
Edmund’s expression softened again, and Diana unconsciously sighed.
It was a very brief change, but he always had some kind of power that overpowered people. Something that makes people crawl without yelling or getting angry.
Edmund moved his hand and brushed Diana’s ear. His delicate touch tickled her and she shivered.
“You just have to learn it little by little.”
“… … .”
“I bet you won’t call me that even in bed.”
“Yes?”
Did I hear it wrong? The man’s expression looked overly calm. She wasn’t sober yet so she couldn’t hear clearly, she thought.
“Aren’t you thirsty?”
A long finger slowly touched his dry lips. The unfamiliar contact made Diana feel strange.
“… Don’t you feel dry out.”
When he asked, Diana finally realized her thirst. The inside of her throat seemed so dry that there wasn’t a single drop of moisture
left.
Edmund reached out and picked up the glass of water that was sitting on the nightstand next to the bed. When he placed his hand on the corner of her mouth and tilted it slightly, she opened her mouth in a panic. But there was more that flowed out than I swallowed. Strangely, there was no strength in her body.
“Wow, it looks like you still have some alcohol left in you.”
Edmund looked at the wetness soaking through the sheets and said it with regret.
The half-filled glass of water was still in his hand, and at that moment, with a burning thirst, she held out her hand first.
But Edmund coldly and lightly put the glass away. Diana looked at the scene in confusion.
He made eye contact as if aware of her gaze, smiled faintly, and tilted the glass of water into his open mouth.
It was not something a man who was affectionately concerned about her thirst would do, so she just stared at the scene blankly.
Suddenly, my chin was grabbed and my face was lifted.
“… … !”
The moment I thought I met blue eyes, Edmund came right at me with his lips on mine.
Something wet and hot touched my lips, and then cold water began to flow little by little through my parted lips. Diana opened her mouth like a baby bird and she took it in one gulp.
“Yes….”
She moaned involuntarily. The lips of the man filling me with water were much hotter than the water, so I felt the heat even more. The same went for his tongue, which slid smoothly into her mouth like pushing water.
After she swallowed all the water in his mouth, his tongue went deeper and touched the sensitive mucous membrane of her mouth.
Diana was at a loss as to what to do with the unfamiliar sensation that suddenly came over her, when a large hand grabbed her hand. The other hand was firmly supporting the back of her head.
The sensation of slowly rubbing our tongues against each other
awakened my whole body. The tongue, which moved in and out of her mouth with a very slow and delicate movements, was pulled out after a while.
Diana made eye contact with Edmund while being held by him. His cool, shining eyes were radiating a heat she didn’t know that were existed.
“You’re taking it well. I don’t think there will be any problem.”
He said something that didn’t make sense to her. But she was still thirsty to think deeply about it.
There was moisture in my parched mouth, but it only slightly quenched my thirst. Diana unconsciously licked her lips with her tongue.
A little more.
What? She blushed at the sudden thought that occurred to her.
He just gave me water. Yeah, that’s it.
“I guess you are still thirsty.”
“Yes… … .”
Diana muttered helplessly.
“What can I do? I only had one glass of water.”
“… … .”
“I think you spilled half of it.”
“Ah… … .”
Diana looked at him with disappointed eyes. A burning thirst arose in her throat, or rather, in her entire body.
“If you take it so well, I think you will take mine well too.”
Diana tilted her head at the words that followed. Edmund from earlier was saying something to her that she couldn’t understand. The gaze that was looking down at her was somehow unfamiliar and gave her a strange sense of distance.
Mine, mine… Mine…
Edmund relaxed his hold on her as he mulled over those words.
“Why are you shaking so much?”
“… Me?”
Diana looked down at her hands. Only then did she realize that, just as he said, her body was trembling slightly.
Why.
“I think I saw something scary.”
A strange smile that I had never seen before passed across the man’s lips. He instantly removed the hand that was gently caressing Diana. As the warmth on her body moved away, Diana followed him with her bewildered eyes.
Squeak.
Edmund got up from the bed and returned to the wing chair he had been sitting in a moment ago. Diana just followed him with a blank stare.
“First, let’s try this.”
An extremely dry and low voice rang out. The voice was extremely businesslike and devoid of any emotion, like a superior giving work orders.
“Come here, Diana.”
He gestured her from his sitting position.
“… … .”
Diana just stared at him with blank eyes, as if a dreamer were seducing an innocent girl. Of course, it couldn’t be happening, but Diana squeezed her eyes shut and opened them.
“Hurry.”
It was a voice that conveyed deep thirst. She raised her body as if possessed by something. Her feet were bare, but with the soft carpet on the floor, her feet weren’t cold at all.
Diana walked right in front of him and stopped. As she was about to take her last step, her feet did not move at all.
He grabbed her wrist and dragged her in front of him. In an instant, the entire body was standing in front of him, looking down at Edmund with confused eyes.
“Ah!”
Diana immediately fell to the floor as he pulled her arms downward. Now her vision had changed, and she was looking up at Edmund from a crouched position between his long legs.
“It suits you now.”
Idk it’s somewhat sexy AF to see an usually calm and composed man lose his mind …
