After Transmigrating into a Book, I Raised Four Big Bosses

Returning to the He Family

Fu Qi couldn’t bear to part with the child. “Mom, let the child stay a little longer!”

“You treat them well, but who treats Ling Ling well? When Ling Ling married into the He family, she was constantly pointer and scolded by them. Now that that this old woman is finally six feet under, I’ll fight anyone who upsets Ling Ling!”

Mother Fu’s temper flared up in an instant.

Father Fu pulled Fu Qi outside and secretly slipped him a few coins.

“Let’s go.”

When Father Fu returned, Mother Fu’s scolding continued.

Looking at the money in his hand, Fu Qi held the child tightly and slowly disappeared into the distance.

When Fu Yuling came out, Mother Fu was still scolding Fu Father, saying that she was blind to have chosen such a man who didn’t even know how to protect their daughter.

Fu Yuling’s appearance made Mother Fu stop.

Fu Yuling scanned the surroundings but didn’t find Fu Qi and the child. She asked, “Where’s the child?”

“I had Xiao Qi take him back.”

Fu Yuling thought about the He family. The condition there was even worse than the Fu family, and the there were still three children there. How can they survive?

“Mom, Dad, I’m going back now.”

“Ah! Wait…”

Mother Fu stopped her and hurriedly ran into the room, then returned with a large basket filled with vegetables.

“Take it back with you, don’t go hungry.”

Without further ado, she handed her five dollars.

In this era, five dollars was equivalent to a month’s worth of expenses for an ordinary family.

Fu Yuling’s heart warmed. For the first time, she felt cared.

“Mom and Dad, take care of yourselves. I’m leaving.”

Watching Fu Yuling disappear into the distance, Fu Mother coldly ordered, “It’s time to work.”

Father Fu followed her out slowly.

Nowadays, everything required tickets to purchase, and one way to obtain tickets was through labor points earned by working.

Returning to the He family, everything was in ruins. Even the doors in the courtyard were broken. The inside was even worse, with hardly anything remaining.

Fu Yuling walked in and saw only the child she had just seen lying on a bed made of wooden planks. The child’s eyes were wide open, and he was not crying or making a sound.

It seemed that Fu Qi had left after bringing the child back.

Her hand touched the child and she held him in her arms, feeling as if her heart was filled.

If she remembered correctly, this child was called He An. He had suffered from mental disabilities due to a fever when he was still a child. As he grew older, he became increasingly withdrawn. He only focused on developing various chemical weapons every day. In the end, he was deemed as an extremely dangerous person and was killed.

Holding He An, she walked through every room until she found a relatively better one compared to the others and stopped.

From her memory, this courtyard used to be occupied only by He Jingsi’s mother. The original owner of the body had married into the He family, and He Jingsi returned once in the third year but hadn’t come back in the two years since.

Even the money that used to be sent every month stopped a few months ago.

When the original owner married into the He family, she was disliked by He Jingsi’s mother. In fact, upon learning that the original owner was pregnant, she schemed to push her into the river, nearly causing her to die.

This also led to a drastic change in the original owner’s temperament. After learning about He Jingsi’s mother’s death, she became even more arrogant and burned all of her belongings with her own hands.

Regarding the four children, she initially ignored them, but as people continued to talk, she started to believe that He Jingsi didn’t come back because of the children.

Slowly, she began to abuse the children in various ways.

Whenever she was unhappy, she would vent it on the children. Instead of working, she let her three children go out to work every day to earn work points in exchange for some food.

Fu Yuling couldn’t help but pity the original owner for her experiences, but she also despised her for taking out her anger on the innocent children.

She just didn’t understand the innocence of children, and she chose to vent her frustrations on them.

So, they screwed her over and mistreated her. She then in turn screwed up the children. Then the father is a bum! MC was right! No one with a name is a good person in this story.
