ATBIRFBB Chapter 174

The Best Moment

Xiao Rui wrapped his arms around the person’s neck and carefully lifted him onto the bed. Li Yan closed his eyes, feeling less distance when he was awake.

After covering him with a blanket, Xiao Rui went to close the slightly opened window. The room was simple and filled with coldness.

But when Xiao Rui looked at the person on the bed, he felt warmth fill his heart.

He stopped by the window, staring blankly at the scenery outside as leaves fell with the wind.

It was a bit strange, but this feeling unexpectedly did not make him feel disgusted.

On Yize’s side, he had just received some news and his expression was far from good, pale and grim.

An Ping was the one who had informed him.

Seeing him turn around to leave, An Ping quickly blocked his path, sensing that things were going awry.

“Yize, where are you going?”

Yize ignored him completely and took a long stride forward.

An Ping stood in front of him and said, “What good will it do to go back now? Right now, we’re only guessing. If he casually says that he didn’t do it, then all our leads will come to a halt right here!”

The clues were all pointing at that person. Even if they couldn’t accept it, they shouldn’t be alarming the snake right now.

Yize stopped in his tracks, his hand unconsciously squeezing the ring on his finger, as if doing so would help him calm down. But the hint of redness in his eyes betrayed his emotions.

“Yanru died because she saved him, and now he is the one betraying us…”

He couldn’t finish his words and squatted down in discomfort.

An Ping felt terrible seeing him like this and stood to the side, feeling uncomfortable as well.

Any words now would be futile. This was a hurdle he had to overcome himself, and no one could help him.

But during that time when Zhang Yanru died, Yize had locked himself in a room, doing nothing and nearly starving himself to death.

If it weren’t for the fact that the killer hadn’t been found, An Ping thought that Yize might have left with Zhang Yanru back then.

Yize’s breathing gradually calmed down as he closed his eyes. The image of a face smiling brightly at him appeared in his mind.

He didn’t know how much time passed before he finally got up from the floor. He allowed himself to silently vent for just a little over ten minutes.

“Let’s go.”

“Are you sure you won’t act impulsively?”

An Ping was still worried. He knew the place that person held in Yize’s heart.

Yize nodded and walked at a steady pace that wasn’t too fast but also not slow.

This time they were heading to one of the several factions in Jiang City, which belonged to the territory of the Black Tiger.

They came here with a purpose, and would leave without anyone noticing. The two exchanged nods as a signal, confirming each other’s readiness before starting to act according to plan.

This operation was a joint effort with the Z Government.

In truth, both Yize and An Ping disliked the Z Government’s pompous ways of doing things, which required everything to be done according to procedures.

Clearly, some issues could be swiftly resolved with a different approach, but they insisted on making it so complicated.

But since He Jingsi insisted on doing it this way, they followed his lead. Naturally, they were dissatisfied but still proceeded with the plan.

An Ping knocked out a person outside and dragged him into a corner, changing into the man’s clothes before coming out, mimicking the man’s demeanor and posture, and walking calmly inside.

Not far away, Yize did the same, stepping out and walking with confidence into the venue.

Today, there was a small gathering here, and it was the best moment for them to catch everyone in one fell swoop.

A mí parecer. Es lo que llevo mucho rato pensando. Parece un desafío traducirlo, ¿o solo es mi incapacidad para retener información?
