ATBIRFBB Chapter 119

Hmmm

A few children followed behind them without saying a word. Only Fu Qi was talking and Fu Yuling responding.

As they walked in, the empty hall was deserted, and she went straight into the kitchen.

The children did not follow her and instead gathered around Fu Qi.

Since they had been here once before, they were already familiar with the place and sat quietly.

He Wen leaned closer to Fu Qi and raised his head, “Uncle, squat down.”

Fu Qi was puzzled but complied.

As soon as he squatted down, He Wen covered his eyes.

He placed something in Fu Qi’s hand, “Uncle, guess what it is.”

Fu Qi touched it. It was a round object, and he couldn’t guess immediately, “Can I open my eyes to see?”

He Wen released his hands, and Fu Qi saw what he was holding.

He pulled the string and slowly opened it. It was a drawing of himself. To be honest, it looked very much like him.

“Thank you, Xiao Wen.”

Fu Qi cherished this item greatly and quickly took it to his room, worried he might lose it.

When he came out again, he looked much happier than before.

In the kitchen, Fu Yuling was helping to chop vegetables, while Father Fu was tending the fire and Mother Fu was stir-frying.

She picked up a knife when Mother Fu called out to her.

“Put that down, I’ll handle it. You don’t need to do anything.”

Fu Yuling didn’t listen and continued chopping quickly. Mother Fu came over with a spatula.

“Stop it. Last time you cut yourself. If you do it again, prepare to eat pickled vegetables!”

Fu Yuling didn’t like pickles, but everyone in the family knew that, so this threat was particularly effective for her.

“Oh mom, I don’t cut vegetables at home either! Don’t worry.”

Her knife skills were quite good. Mother Fu took a look. Seeing that she didn’t harm herself, she finally relaxed.

“Take it slow, don’t rush.”

“Got it, got it.”

Fu Yuling replied and focused on slicing the vegetables. The ingredients in her hands quickly turned into thin and uniform slices.

This was enough to show her excellent control over the knife.

Meanwhile, Father Fu was not paying attention to their side and occasionally added some firewood. Once Mother Fu left, he got up.

The next dish would be prepared by Father Fu.

Mother Fu didn’t sit down but instead pushed Fu Yuling aside.

“Lingling, go add some firewood.”

Fu Yuling twitched her mouth, was she that untrustworthy?

Well, she was happy to have some free time, and upon glancing around, she realized there wasn’t much for her to do anyway, so she left the kitchen.

As soon as she entered, she went to her own room, a place the original owner hadn’t returned to since getting married.

The room had very few items, but everything looked warm and welcoming, as each item had come from Mother Fu’s hands.

Thus, Fu Yuling’s first feeling in the room was relaxation. She was slowly blending into this place.

This was something she had recently discovered because her desire to return home was fading.

She shook her head. Fu Yuling, you can’t think like this, you still need to go back when the time comes.

She felt grateful to have come here to meet them, and the rest would be left to time.

If she could go back, she would probably feel a bit lost but would still choose to return.

In real life, she had family, and that was her home.

She always felt that abandoning her family to live in another world for a lifetime would be unfair to both herself and the family that raised her.
