At this moment, the man’s phone rang.
“Yi Chen, I’m on the shuttle bus, and I’ll arrive in fifteen minutes!” a gentle and sweet female voice came through.
Hearing this, the man’s deep and seductive voice lazily responded, “Got it. I’m already at the airport. I’ll come to pick you up at the exit!”
“Okay! You’re coming to pick me up so late; I’m really happy! See you in a bit!” Xu Wen Jing’s voice was filled with sweetness.
“Of course, it’s the least I can do. I’ll hang up now,” Lin Yi Chen said before ending the call. By this time, the Porsche had already disappeared from his sight, merging into the traffic.

Glancing at the time on the car’s display, Gu Jinyan turned to Jiang Wan Yu and asked, “Junior sister, did you have a meal on the plane? Do you want to grab something to eat now?”
Jiang Wan Yu shook her head, “No need, senior brother. I already had the plane meal, and I’m not very hungry. I just want to get back and rest for a bit. How about I treat you another day?”
Hearing this, Gu Jinyan smirked slightly and nodded, “Sure! It’s been a while since we caught up.”
He had been fond of his junior sister since their university days. But at that time, her heart was entirely occupied by Lin Yi Chen, and she didn’t notice anyone else around her.
So, he continued to study and patiently waited for the right moment.

After dropping Jiang Wan Yu off at her place, Gu Jinyan helped with her luggage.

At this moment, her phone rang, and she immediately put down what she was doing, picked up her phone from the coffee table, and swiped the screen.
As the screen lit up, a delicate and adorable little boy appeared before her. “Mom, are you home yet?” The boy looked at her with eager eyes which clearly missed her.
Seeing the boy’s face, Jiang Wan Yu’s expression softened instantly, and her eyes were filled with warmth. “Yes, Mommy’s safely home, little one. Don’t worry about me. Have you been a good boy today? Is Daddy back home?”
