After Divorce, I Became Pregnant With My Ex-Husband's Child

She Has Agreed

After sitting down on a sofa in a corner, Sun Wei went straight to the point, “I’ll be direct. Your company had expressed the intention to collaborate with us, but why wasn’t our name on the final list?”

For the sake of this collaborative development project, Gu’s Group had been busy for nearly half a year. But now, they were excluded. How could she accept this?

Upon hearing Sun Wei’s question, Lin Haowei shook his head and said, “This was decided by my son, Yi Chen. I’m not sure.”

Sun Wei furrowed her brow. “You’re the company’s CEO. How can you not be sure?”

Her words seemed to irritate Lin Haowei, and he responded with satisfaction, “I’ve heard that Jiang Wan Yu is working at your hospital. Is that true?”

Sun Wei’s expression changed instantly. Lin Haowei’s implication was that Gu’s Group was excluded from collaboration because they had taken in Jiang Wan Yu.

But it’s not surprising, considering what happened four years ago. The entire upper echelon of Jiangcheng society knows about it. The Lin family had a deep dislike for Jiang Wan Yu.

And yet, their family, the Gu family, took in Jiang Wan Yu four years later. Isn’t this a direct challenge to the Lin family?

Given Lin Yi Chen’s strong aversion to Jiang Wan Yu, it’s not impossible that he directed his anger toward the Gu family.

She knew it; Jiang Wan Yu was just a jinx!

Sun Wei took a deep breath and tightly held her glass. “Thank you for the reminder, Mr. Lin. My son was momentarily bewitched by that vixen which led to this mistake. However, I’ve already instructed my husband to expel Jiang Wan Yu from the hospital. I assure you that no hospital in Jiangcheng will hire her.”

Lin Haowei chuckled and raised his glass to Sun Wei. “I understand. I’ll talk to Yi Chen about this. Let’s have a drink!”

Sun Wei breathed a sigh of relief. As long as there was room for maneuver, it was enough. She felt increasingly disgusted with Jiang Wan Yu and decided to quickly arrange for her son, Gu Jinyan, to marry and let him forget about Jiang Wan Yu for good.

Later that night, at 9:30 PM, the banquet concluded, and the guests began to leave. After casting a glance at Yi Lingfeng, Zhou Jiancheng picked up his phone and called An Rourou.

“How did your persuasion go?” Zhou Jiancheng asked coldly.

An Rourou hurriedly replied, “Jiancheng, rest assured. Ran Ran has agreed to follow your plan.”

Zhou Jiancheng’s face finally showed satisfaction, and his gaze turned somewhat sinister as he looked in Yi Lingfeng’s direction.

Hmph! Having a 30% stake in Zhou’s Group doesn’t change anything. What can a young brat like you do to compete with me?

Meanwhile, An Ran sat in the car, her face filled with disbelief. She couldn’t believe that her mother whom she had tried so hard to protect would stand on her father’s side and advise her to become Yi Lingfeng’s lover.

Did she not know that it was precisely because she was Zhou Jiancheng’s mistress that An Ran had been unable to hold her head high all her life? Why were they treating her this way?

But when she thought of her mother’s desperate words, An Ran couldn’t bring herself to ignore her.

With her eyes closed, she finally accepted her fate and lowered her head in resignation.
