After Being Preached by my Senior Martial Brother

Baby (part 2)

Feng Xuan nodded. “Don’t get your hopes up. Who told you to end up with a Dao companion with such a bad temper like me, you’ll have to endure it for life.”

Qi Zhuoyu nodded. “Alright.”

He said, “Remember to find Senior brother to endure such good fortune in the next life too.”

Feng Xuan: “.”

So infuriating, how did this straight man suddenly become so smooth with words.

He was about to lose his resolve to leave, ah ah ah.

Feng Xuan knew he should go.

But he still had some words to say, hesitantly looking at Qi Zhuoyu again, mumbling: “Just… I want to remind you of something.”

Qi Zhuoyu stood beside him, listening.

Feng Xuan whispered. “I can be really scary when I’m angry. You’d better quickly find a way to coax me.”

The meaning was he shouldn’t burn his own primordial spirit anymore, scoundrel of a Senior brother.

Qi Zhuoyu held back his laughter. “What if I can’t coax you?”

Feng Xuan threatened him. “Then I’ll use domestic violence on you. I’m super fierce.”

Qi Zhuoyu finally couldn’t hold back anymore.

He grabbed Feng Xuan’s arm and pulled him forcefully into his embrace.

He buried his head in Feng Xuan’s shoulder, laughing uncontrollably, his chest vibrating as he said what he had always wanted to say. “My wife is really too damn cute.”

Feng Xuan: ??? What was the big devil suddenly doing? Did he hit his head???

He only understood the part about being called cute.

His cheeks heating up a bit, Feng Xuan softly hummed. “That coaxing doesn’t count.”

The only one truly hurt was the dog-formed Li Chaofeng.

The dog thought: Is there a possibility that I’m not actually a dog? You flirting on my back like this, even a dog would kick over his dog food bowl!!

The first thing Feng Xuan did upon returning to the White Jade Capital was to rummage through the treasure storehouse in Qifeng Palace.

He remembered that over the years he had celebrated quite a few birthdays, big and small, and should have quite a few divine race treasures for defense and soul nurturing.

Although he hadn’t said anything.

The ancient god uncles of the divine race were well aware of how weak the little prince was.

The birthday gifts they sent were mainly magical treasures.

He had rarely used them before, but now he dug them all out.

While Li Chaofeng was still there, Feng Xuan stuffed all these things into his storage space, asking him to take them back to Qi Zhuoyu.

He also worried that if he sent them himself, he would be spineless and soften, forgiving him.

As Li Chaofeng was leaving, Feng Xuan earnestly instructed him. “Just say you stole these from Qifeng Palace.”

Li Chaofeng: …Sister-in-law. Cousin may be cruel, but he’s not stupid!!

But what could a dog do?

The dog must have owed this couple in his past life.jpg

And so, Feng Xuan began his first cold war with Qi Zhuoyu.

During the time he was away from the White Jade Capital, he had thought his father emperor would discover his absence.

But upon returning, he learned that his father had been so busy with White Jade Capital affairs lately that he hadn’t even noticed Feng Xuan had run off somewhere.

Probably not seeing him in Qifeng Palace.

And couldn’t imagine Feng Xuan would be bold enough to go to the Chaotic Sea.

Feng Xuan was no longer as young as before, and he had heard bits and pieces about what the White Jade Capital was busy with lately.

It seemed the barrier at Biluo River was unstable, with the danger of backflow to the lower realm if it loosened. Feng Li was working with many ancient gods daily to reinforce the barrier.

Unable to help much, Feng Xuan would go to Lingxiao Palace every night to keep Feng Li company as he read memorials.

During this time, Qi Zhuoyu would also send him messages via communication talisman.

After discovering Feng Xuan’s small bag no longer had a communication talisman, Qi Zhuoyu had somehow procured a bunch and stuffed them in, ensuring he could contact him anytime, anywhere.

Later when Feng Xuan went to the Chaotic Sea and was with him almost day and night.

These talismans naturally became useless, but now they would vibrate every other day.

Most of Qi Zhuoyu’s messages were as terse as the man himself.

Asking where he was, if he had slept, how his primordial spirit was, then adding what seemed to be a pitiful: [Is the cold war not over yet?]

Only when asked the last question would Feng Xuan reply.

He carefully wrote on paper: [Are you still burning your own primordial spirit?]

Qi Zhuoyu didn’t respond.

Feng Xuan got angry and sent another: [Then the cold war isn’t over]

Probably because he kept looking down at his small bag, Feng Li noticed and asked, “Ling’er, what are you looking at?”

Feng Xuan quickly snapped back to attention, saying, “Nothing.”

He was keeping Feng Li company tonight in Lingxiao Palace as he read memorials.

Remembering that Feng Li didn’t like Qi Zhuoyu much, he hurriedly pretended to pick up a memorial to read.

Somehow, this memorial happened to be related to the Chaotic Sea.

Although the divine race ruled the Three Realms and didn’t interfere in demon realm affairs, the Chaotic Sea and Biluo River shared the same source, so it was still under divine jurisdiction.

There were just a few lines mentioning that recently several ancient great demons had emerged from the bottom of the Chaotic Sea to wreak havoc in the mortal realm.

Though their divine race quickly sent high gods to suppress them, by the time they arrived, these great demons had already died at Qi Zhuoyu’s hands.

Seeing Qi Zhuoyu’s name.

Feng Xuan’s heart paused subtly.

The memorial didn’t say if Qi Zhuoyu was injured.

But since even the divine race sent three or four high gods to deal with these primordial great demons, it must have been quite tricky. Could the big devil have escaped unscathed?

Feng Li noticed the memorial in his hand and, recalling the recent anomalies at Biluo River, couldn’t help sighing, “I didn’t expect your father god’s prophecy wasn’t over yet.”

Feng Xuan looked up. “Father, what did you say?”

Feng Li said, “Before your father god’s divine death, he prophesied a world-ending flood in the Three Realms within a thousand years. To prevent the flood, he used his primordial spirit as the array core for Biluo River. But after all these years, the barrier at Biluo River is subtly loosening towards the lower realm again.”

He sighed. “It seems your father god’s worries weren’t unfounded. This Primordial River is likely to merge into one again.”

Feng Xuan had heard of the most ancient myth, which started from the Primordial River.

Their world came into being when the father god split the Primordial River in two, creating the Three Realms and all living beings.

“If the Primordial River merges into one, will the world return to its original state?”

Feng Li nodded. “At that time, all things will cease to exist.”

Feng Xuan was silent for a moment.

Feng Li said, “Is Ling’er afraid? Although the divine race has life as long as heaven and earth, if heaven and earth are to be restored, the divine race’s life will dissipate with it.”

Feng Xuan was young, and fear of death was the instinct of all living things.

But Feng Xuan shook his head. “I’m not afraid of that. I just think, if there’s nothing to look forward to in life, what’s the point of living for tens of thousands of years. If I’m with someone I like, even living for one day is enough.”

Feng Li thought his Ling’er was more enlightened than most of the divine race.

But then he realized the reason for this enlightenment was Qi Zhuoyu, and his face instantly darkened.

After speaking, Feng Xuan suddenly lost interest in continuing to read memorials.

He said goodbye to Feng Li and headed towards Qifeng Palace.

He actually didn’t know what to do upon going back.

For the past 1900 years, his daily life in the White Jade Capital was either sleeping or sunbathing, and he had never felt bored.

But after just a short stay in the Chaotic Sea recently.

Upon returning, he found himself a bit unaccustomed to the idle life in White Jade Capital.

Could it be that he was influenced by proximity and infected with some masochistic personality from the big devil?!

Feng Xuan was startled by his own guess.

He rubbed his arms and hurried back to Qifeng Palace.

After all, his life principle as a bird was that there was nothing sleep couldn’t solve, and if it couldn’t be solved, it just meant he hadn’t slept enough.

But when he returned to Qifeng Palace tonight, Feng Xuan vaguely sensed something was off as soon as he reached the entrance.

This feeling grew stronger as he went further in.

Until he reached the Divine Wutong Tree, Feng Xuan stopped in his tracks.

Under the Divine Wutong Tree stood a man who had been waiting for an unknown time – it was Qi Zhuoyu.

Not having seen him for a while, Feng Xuan felt a bit awkward upon suddenly meeting him.

Remembering he was still in a cold war with Qi Zhuoyu, Feng Xuan spoke. “What are you doing here?”

Qi Zhuoyu sat on his wutong bed without any hesitation, his voice carrying a barely detectable hint of helplessness. “Came to Qifeng Palace for a look. Did I have hallucinations a few days ago? Otherwise, how would I remember that I seemed to have a Dao companion?”

Feng Xuan: “.”

If you lose your wife one day.

It would be because your mouth drove her away.

Feng Xuan didn’t want to bother with him.

There was only one wutong bed to sit on, and with Qi Zhuoyu occupying it, Feng Xuan just resolutely stood with dignity.

Qi Zhuoyu moved closer to him and asked. “Still angry?”

Feng Xuan: Ah, what else? Did he look like he was ready to make up?

Qi Zhuoyu: “Three ancient great demons escaped from the Chaotic Sea today, each with formidable cultivation. I spent a lot of time dealing with them and got injured.”

Feng Xuan: “.”

Not every sympathy ploy works.

Qi Zhuoyu continued, “I wore all the defensive treasures you gave me, and used all those hemostatic medicines too. It’s just that there were too many wounds, and not enough medicine to stop the bleeding.”

Feng Xuan: You’re fooling ghosts. He clearly prepared enough medicine to bury yourself in.

“Xiao Qi.” Qi Zhuoyu suddenly grabbed his arm and pulled him to sit in his embrace. “Senior brother won’t burn his own primordial spirit anymore.”

When Qi Zhuoyu said this, he carried an unpracticed compromise, as if it was one of the rare times in his life he changed his mind for someone else, so even his expression was somewhat unfamiliar. “Stop ignoring me, alright?”

To be honest, at this point, Feng Xuan was no longer angry.

But the little bird was scheming, he decided to hold out a bit longer to teach the big devil a lesson.

Just as he was about to put on airs.

Qi Zhuoyu suddenly seemed to have his Ren and Du meridians unblocked, speaking with sudden inspiration.

The man’s voice was low and cool, sounding by his ear with a helpless feeling. “Baby, Senior brother really knows he was wrong.”
