Chapter 0
Prologue
[Warning! Summoner’s HP status is critical. Clearly on the verge of death! Immediate recharge needed.]
The system message was noisy. I felt cold and dizzy. My eyelids were so heavy that they seemed to stick to my eyeballs.
“Master, don’t close your eyes.”
After feeling something patting my cheeks, my body was suddenly lifted up.
Where are you taking me?
I wanted to ask, but no voice came out. A creaky door opened, and my body was placed somewhere again. The rough texture of fabric against my back and the springy sensation—was this a bed?
Alex’s figure was revealed by the moonlight shining through the window above. Though he was covered in blood from what must have been fierce fighting to get here, his ash-gray eyes were particularly clear.
As I slowly regained consciousness, I began to feel a burning pain in my abdomen and legs. A sob escaped from my throat involuntarily.
“H-hot…. It burns…. ugh, it hurts… I might die… hic.”
A faint hint of sympathy flickered in Alex’s gaze as he looked down at me.
He gently stroked my cheek.
“It’s okay, Master. I won’t let you die. Let’s heal you slowly, alright?”
Tears welled up and trickled down. Embarrassingly, I clung to him like a child.
“Please… Please do it. Just make the pain stop… please, anything.”
“First, I need to check your condition.”
With those words, Alex lifted my t-shirt. My body instinctively shrank from the cold air. I felt anxious when I saw his brow furrow deeply after checking my condition.
“Am I… that badly… injured?”
“Not really. But I need to take care of the most urgent injuries first.”
Muttering under his breath, Alex aligned his gaze with mine. Then, slowly, he leaned closer and carefully pressed his lips to mine.
A kiss? Out of nowhere?
Ah, I remembered. According to the system message, we need to make physical contact. Especially when one of us is in critical condition like this.
[To alleviate the Summoner’s pain from their critical injury state, the body will now automatically produce pleasure-inducing neural chemicals.]
Just as stated, my body, which until moments ago couldn’t feel anything but pain, started responding to Alex’s kiss. A strange, ticklish sensation bloomed in my lower abdomen, making it unbearable to endure.
Like a child seeking comfort, I clung to Alex, wrapping my arms tightly around his neck. And I kissed him back eagerly.
Suddenly, he pulled his face back slightly.
Gripping the hem of his shirt, I pleaded.
“You’re not going to heal me and just leave, are you? You… you can’t.”
After saying it, I realized I was begging him.
Alex gently stroked my head as if to soothe me.
“Master, your wounds aren’t healed yet, and they could reopen. Just stay still—I’ll take care of everything.”
He kissed me again, this time deeper. I was too overwhelmed to think about anything else.
“I’ll really start now.”
Just as I was regaining my senses, Alex’s declaration made me panic.
“W-what?”
Alex tried to remove the rest of my tattered t-shirt, but when it wouldn’t come off easily, he seemed frustrated and just ripped it apart in one go. My shoulders instinctively curled in embarrassment.
At my reaction, Alex leaned close and whispered in a languid voice.
“Your injuries are too severe, Master. This time we’ll need to go all the way.”
Taking my whimper as a signal, he gently caressed my ear with his lips.
Alex moved his hand lower and unbuttoned my jeans.
“W-wait!”
I tried to stop him from going further, but it was an unconscious action. I knew that to survive, I would have to ‘really’ do it with Alex from now on. Yet, my rational mind couldn’t easily accept this reality.
He delivered the final blow with his words.
“You know this too, Master. If we stop here, you’ll return to that serious injury state from before.”
In the end, feeling like I was about to cry, I surrendered. Alex’s hand finally pulled my pants down.
His gaze moved downward, and he smiled.
As his gaze dropped, a faint smile tugged at his lips.
“Looks like you didn’t hate everything I’ve done so far.”
“If we have to do this, can’t you just shut up and get it over with?”
Alex smirked crookedly and replied.
“Nope.”
Then his soothing touches continued, caressing me here and there. From the shallowest to the deepest places.
Making too much noise in the dungeon could be dangerous, so I was extremely tense, my whole body rigid, when Alex deliberately kissed me again. I turned my head away to avoid it. My jaw trembled uncontrollably.
By the time his gentle touch had left my arms and legs feeling limp, the sound of rustling fabric reached my ears. I looked ahead to see him undoing his belt.
Startled, I asked for confirmation.
“Going all the way…. you don’t mean…?”
In response, Alex tilted his head with an annoyingly innocent expression and said, “Why not?” with a smug smile.
“Do we really have to go that far?”
Seriously? Is this really happening? But…. that seems too…
“Master, if we don’t do this, your wounds will reopen and start bleeding again. What we’ve done so far only maintains the status quo.”
Right. Anything is better than dying. Yeah, right, SO much better!
Resigning myself to the situation, I squeezed my eyes shut and muttered,
“Do it.”
“Master has a habit of closing her eyes at crucial moments. But I’d prefer it if you kept them open this time.”
At those words, I unconsciously opened my eyes and saw something I shouldn’t have. The sight of its overwhelming presence immediately took my breath away.
Supporting himself with one arm on the bed, Alex leaned down, his voice soft and tender as he whispered.
“Relax. I’ll do it slowly so it won’t hurt.”
The cramped space of the dungeon, where night seemed to last forever, began to fill with our hushed, passionate movements.
