Episode 38
“Welcome to the Blighton family, Madam.”
Next, the butler I had encountered when I first came here bowed to me and greeted.
“Welcome, Madam.”
Then, the servants standing in line behind him all bowed to me together.
“Please rise, everyone.”
“Thank you, Madam.”
They straightened their bowed heads.
“I know you have been here longer than I have. So, I hope you will teach me a lot and help me in the future. To do that, we must first build trust with each other. If you pledge loyalty to me as the mistress of the house, I will never abandon you first.”
“We will keep that in mind, Madam.”
I also didn’t forget to introduce Lia.
“And this is Lia, who has been with me since I was young. Lia, say hello.”
“Yes. Lady, no, Madam. I’m Lia. Nice to meet you.”
Lia was the only maid I brought from the Anaitz family.
As she was like family to me, I hoped she would adapt well here.
“Let’s go inside now.”
“Yes, let’s.”
I reached out towards him, indicating that he should follow.
With a gentle smile, his large hand warmly enveloped mine.
As Lloydin’s wife, I took my first step into the Blighton Manor.
As soon as we entered, we headed straight for the couple’s bedroom on the second floor.
We had made some changes to the mansion due to this marriage, and the bedroom was one of them.
We merged Lloydin’s room, which I had visited once before, with the room on the right, and on the left, we created my personal space, a study.
The bedroom was predominantly in white tones, with all the walls and furniture.
A large bed big enough for three or four people was placed on one side of the wall, and by the window, there were a small table and two chairs.
Near the fireplace, there was a sofa, and other furniture that would be in a bedroom was placed around.
“Do you like it?”
As I looked around, Lloydin spoke next to me.
“Yes, it’s clean and nice. I like it.”
“I’m glad.”
“And what about the Duke? Does he like it too?”
“Yes, he does. Then, rest here. I’ll finish up outside and come back.”
“Okay.”
After Lloydin left, I sat on the sofa to take a break.
“Madam, are you very tired? Shall I prepare bathing water for you?”
Lia, who was helping with the unpacking along with the servants, approached me and asked.
Now, she naturally referred to me as “Madam” instead of “Miss,” and I smiled happily, leading her to the adjacent seat.
“Lia.”
“Yes, Madam.”
“Thank you for coming with me all the way here.”
“No need to thank me. I told you I would always be with you wherever you go. Oh, but it’s Madam now.”
Lia scolded herself, squeezing her own head with a fist.
“Don’t do that. It hurts. I called you Miss for 20 years; it won’t be easy to change the title so quickly.”
I held Lia’s hand and comforted her.
“That’s true. Still, I don’t want to make a mistake. If I make a mistake, you’ll be scolded, Miss.”
Lia replied with a determined expression.
“If you find anything difficult, you must tell me right away. Don’t suffer alone, understood?”
“Yes, I will.”
Lia was two years older than me. With only brothers and no sisters, she always took care of me like a real sister.
I briefly hugged Lia, expressing my gratitude with my entire body.

After refreshing my tired body with a clean bath, I changed into a negligee that was slightly revealing.
It was the outfit Lia strongly opposed, but after resisting wearing it, I finally put it on.
Even though we were a married couple, and perhaps it was an unnecessary worry, it felt awkward to wear such clothes in front of Lloydin.
Above all, even if Lloydin didn’t mind, I didn’t want to seem like I was selfishly doing what I wanted.
“Madam, I’ll leave now.”
“Sure, go and take a rest.”
After organizing the bedroom, Lia was the last to leave the room.
Now, I was left alone in the room.
“When will he come?”
Although he said he would finish up outside and come back, even after bathing, Lloydin had not returned.
“Is he intentionally not coming?”
Thinking about it, that possibility seemed high.
Considering this was a marriage where we each pursued our own desires, there was no need to force ourselves into sharing a bed.
“Well, then I’ll sleep alone.”
It was a bit disappointing, but I didn’t want to disturb his sleeping time unnecessarily.
Surprisingly, I hadn’t fallen asleep once in about two months.
It was all thanks to Lloydin.
I was completely fine, to the extent of wondering if my illness had completely healed.
In other words, just spending 1 or 2 hours with him every day was enough for my illness to get better.
I settled directly onto the soft-looking bed and lay down immediately.
The unfamiliar ceiling caught my eye instead of the familiar one in my room.
The first night in a new place could be scary, but I felt no fear or worry.
Instead, I felt incredibly comfortable.
The fear of not waking up the next day after falling asleep.
The anxiety that my life might end after tonight’s sleep.
That was the only thing I was afraid of.
But now, Lloydin was within easy reach if I wanted to see him.
If by any chance I fell asleep, there was someone to wake me up.
With just that fact alone, I had nothing to fear.
The day felt incredibly long.
My body felt tired, and my eyes were closing involuntarily.
Just as I was about to fall asleep in the silence, I heard the creaking sound of the door opening.
Then, footsteps followed, jolting me awake as sleep poured out, and my mind snapped into focus.
Only the lantern in the room emitted a faint light due to the moon hidden behind the clouds.
I turned my head to see the figure approaching.
With his tall stature and broad shoulders, it was undoubtedly Lloydin.
“… My Lord?”
Lloydin quickly arrived near the bed.
As he approached, his figure became clear.
With wet hair and only a robe draped over him, he emitted a sturdy woodsy scent similar to him.
“Did I wake you?”
“No. I was just about to fall asleep.”
Seeing Lloydin sit at the end of the bed, I attempted to sit up as well.
But Lloydin gently touched my shoulder, stopping me.
“You don’t have to get up. Just lie down.”
Feeling too lazy to get up, I nodded in agreement.
“Did you take a bath?”
Lloydin took his hand from my shoulder to the end of my hair and brushed it lightly.
“Yes. Did you bathe too? You smell nice.”
I replied, pretending to ignore his touch.
“It smells nice even from the lady.”
“Pardon? What did you just say?”
When Lloydin called me “Lady,” I was momentarily surprised and blinked at him.
“Is it awkward for you to be called ‘Lady’ by me?”
“No, it’s not that. I was just a little surprised, that’s all.”
As Lloydin’s expression began to stiffen, I quickly tried to lighten the mood.
“Then, from now on, can I call you ‘Lady’?”
“Well, yes. That’s fine.”
At first, it was a bit awkward, but I didn’t mind being called “Lady.”
It felt a bit strange, but his pleasant voice made it quite okay.
“Where do you sleep, my Lord? You demolished your original room and made this place.”
Although he had come to the room earlier, I naturally thought he would go to another room to sleep.
“Do you not want to sleep with me?”
“I’m fine, but I thought it might be uncomfortable for you, my Lord.”
“I’m fine with it too.”
“Really?”
His willingness to sleep with me made me feel good for a moment.
“Then, come up here quickly.”
Afraid he might change his mind and leave the room, I quickly made space for him and lay down beside him.
“Are you really okay with sleeping with me?”
I didn’t understand what he was worried about, but Lloydin asked me again.
‘Isn’t it obvious that I’m okay with it?’
I suppressed the smile trying to break out and replied.
